Pet care experience

Happy Paws make for Happy Owners.

Since I was 15 years old, I’ve been deeply involved in caring for animals, including my own four dogs and three cats. Over the years, I’ve also taken care of friends’ pets, gaining a wealth of hands-on experience with a variety of breeds and temperaments. My experience extends beyond basic care—I’m comfortable handling cats, senior pets, and animals with special needs. Currently, as a pre-veterinary student, I’m continuously expanding my knowledge in animal health and wellness. I am also a certified pet groomer and dog trainer, which has enhanced my skills in ensuring pets are clean, well-behaved, and happy. Additionally, I’m certified in dog first aid, giving me the confidence and skills to handle emergencies and ensure the safety of the pets under my care. With a lifelong love for animals and a dedication to their well-being, I’m committed to providing exceptional care for every pet I meet

Sandy took care of our cat for over 2 weeks and sent pictures assuring us that Cat was adjusting well. The drop off day was scheduled when the blizzard hit and she offered us alternatives. Thanks Sandy!

Sandy is very responsive and was able to accommodate a last minute request to watch my cats Mina and Nala. She provided updates on their adjustment and sent pictures. Will definitely keep her in mind for future plans

Bono spent a week with Sandy. She provided updates and pics over the period. She communicated well with us for drop off and pick up. I would use Sandy again.

Safety, trust & environment

When caring for pets in my home or my client’s home, I prioritize safety, comfort, and happiness. I make sure pets are well-fed, exercised, and feel loved. I follow my clients’ instructions carefully and treat each pet as if they were my own. Communication with my clients is very important to me, and I always check in to see how they’d like me to handle certain situations, such as giving extra tummy rubs or playing with their pets for a few extra minutes. I aim to provide a seamless, stress-free experience for both pets and their owners.

A typical day

All dog love to go on a walk it’s a great way to stimulate its brain and it’s healthy for them as well. If owners have a backyard that’s fenced we will spend some time out playing fetch. If not we can always play indoors and go on a walk. Cats on the other hand I enjoy playing “catch the rat” which helps them stimulate there brain and keep them active as well lots of pats and cuddles if they let me

It’s important I know all the ins and outs. What tiggers he/she has , if he/she has an allergy, if he/she doesn’t like people, if there is a certain routine he/she has. Does he/she have a walking routine , if harness is used or not. For cats I would like to know what they like and don’t like if they are a senior cat and if medication is necessary to give
