Information Sandra & San L. would like to know about your pet

We prefer to follow the routine your doggo is accustomed to as closely as possible. So please let us know ahead of time: Most important: - allergies or sensitivities - any meds your pet is taking (and the best time and method to deliver them!) Note: If your dog is diabetic or has any other special needs, we want to know exactly the schedule you follow so as not to disrupt any rhythm you have established. Important: - Food: the quantity and preparation, and any habits around eating that we should know about - Treats: is it ok to give your pup treats? If so, which ones? Helpful: - any triggers, likes/dislikes, pet pet peeves (see what I did there?!), favorite spots to be rubbed, etc. - favorite toys, favorite treats

A typical day

Mornings begin with a walk around the neighborhood. Sometimes we stop in to the vet to say hi! After doggie breakfast, there may be a quick romp around the yard, and then the dogs snuggle up in cozy dog beds under my desk while I work. Potty/play breaks in the yard every hour throughout the day, with a longer play break midday involving whatever strikes your dog's fancy that moment: fetch, tug-of-war, chasing squirrels... or just chilling. A few more hours of work and snuggle time in the afternoon with hourly play/potty breaks, then another long play session in the yard and/or a walk. This is followed by doggie dinner, snuggling on the couch, then bedtime wherever they feel most comfortable: dog bed, the crate, or human bed!

Pet care experience

I work from home and have been around dogs my entire life. Our dogs are like children to us. Now, as we work from home and have a big yard, we have the ideal setup for happy and safe dogs, and want to share it with your fur baby! - We have a 3-year-old mini poodle who we’ve raised to be a happy, gentle and well-rounded pup. She loves to play and cuddle, and gets along very well with other dogs and the occasional cat! - Our home is very loving and safe. Someone is always around to give cuddles and love, plenty of cozy places to hang out, and hazards are always out of reach. - We have a fully fenced, big backyard with tennis balls and frisbees where your beloved fur baby can get out all their zoomies frequently and safely. It's also covered in shade, so don't worry about hot summer days! - We don't anticipate anything happening, but just in case, rest assured because our home is only *one block* away from an excellent animal hospital! - We’ll do our best to make sure that your little buddy will feel loved and at home here, getting the same level of care and cuddles you like to provide to them. - We’ve had senior dogs and a dog with diabetes, so we are very careful and will always give attention to detail to adapt to their needs, whether it be diet, exercise, attention, or anything else. - We will keep you updated with photos and videos so you know they’re safe and having a good time. It’s hard to find someone to trust with your pet; we have found this out the hard way. So I hope our home can become a place you can rely on and feel safe leaving your little bundle.

I can’t recommend Sandra highly enough. She is truly one of the most responsible, attentive, and compassionate individuals I’ve ever trusted with my Ziggy and Zoey. From the very beginning, it was clear how deeply she cares—not just about doing the job, but about making sure every animal feels safe, comfortable, and genuinely loved. Sandra is incredibly reliable and detail-oriented, always following instructions carefully while also going above and beyond to ensure pets are happy and well cared for. Whether it’s maintaining feeding schedules, administering medications, or simply spending quality time playing and providing companionship, she handles everything with patience and dedication. What really sets Sandra apart is her natural connection with animals. Ziggy and Zoey immediately warmed up to her, which speaks volumes about her gentle and kind demeanor. I always have complete peace of mind knowing my pets are in her care. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your pets like family, you won’t find a better pet sitter. Sandra is dependable, trustworthy, and truly exceptional at what she does.
