Availability
My availability reflects when I’m not in the office. In terms of my routine, I start my day early. When working from home I spend my lunch hour walking and playing with dogs. And then walk them again after dinner. Followed by a short walk prior to turning in for the night. In the summer I take the dog(s) to my community garden space to sniff around and take them on frequent walks and even the dog park, if you say that’s ok.

I will care for your fur baby as if it were my own, giving it the attention and activity it needs but also it’s space. I have a yard for playtime and a nearby dog-friendly area for walks where it can meet and sniff other dogs. I love doggie cuddles if they are cuddlers, or providing them with opportunities to sniff and explore… you know, do dog things 😉 I am open to having them sleep with me unless they sleep in a crate or prefer their dog bed. I cover my couches when I board dogs so they can relax on the couch with me. I have plenty of toys for them to play with.

Information Sandra S. would like to know about your pet
The more information you can provide me regarding your dog the better I can ensure the best stay for your fur baby. Feed times and food volume, routines, favorite activities, what to avoid (we all have quirks). Any allergies or food sensitivities? Dogs must be house trained. I welcome all breeds, ages and sizes. I require a phone conversation with you to gain a better understanding about your dog and it’s needs prior to confirming.
A typical day
Walks are my favorite and I’ve found favorites for the dogs I watch! They love to sniff here and there and greet a fellow dog along the way. Relaxing and sniffing in the back yard is often on the agenda as well. As is fetch (for those who can play fetch), chase (with dog chase pole), training reminders (because what dog isn’t eager to earn treats?) and of course endless belly rubs and cuddles.

Pet care experience
I have successful experience watching dogs (2 max at a time) and treat them as if they were my own. I can provide references but my reviews should speak for themselves. If you request, I can send you photos of your dog during its stay with me. In order for your dog to feel most at home while with me, I request you provide their bed, any special bowls (I have regular bowls) and favorite toy(s) along with specific instructions so I can adhere to their usual routine as closely as possible. This would include meal times and quantities, daily habits, etc. Are they good with other dogs? Any watch-outs? Any allergies? I want to know it all in order to provide the best care. I have no preferences to dog breed, age or size as I love all dogs, but do require they be house broken, vaccinated (in case I am boarding more than 1 dog, it’s only fair), and registered. I also request they wear their tags while with me, just in case. Know your dog is family while in my care. I support and encourage a meet and greet in order to confirm your fur baby is comfortable with me and put you at ease when you see the comfort they will be staying in.
Reviews

I was looking for care for my pup last minute for the Thanksgiving holiday and while a number of sitters reached out to help, Sandra stood out with her friendly nature and well-informed questions to ensure she and Ella would be a good fit. I’m so glad they were because Ella had a blast. Sandra was so welcoming when we arrived to drop Ella off and was quick to befriend our very energetic pup. She even had fresh water out and toys at the ready to help her feel at home. I felt completely at ease leaving Ella in her care and the daily updates and photos during her stay maintained that. Sandra was very understanding of Ella’s young, vivacious nature and accommodated her needs with such care. She was mindful of Ella’s history as a rescue and navigated Ella’s novice-level manners with grace. It honestly felt like Sandra took care of our pup as if she were her own. One of the picture updates Ella was even sleeping belly up! Which for her especially is a big deal with someone new. I would absolutely have Sandra take care of Ella again, she was wonderful with her and so incredibly kind to us. An absolute gem.

Sandra is wonderfully attentive and professional, but more importantly, our dog loved his stay with her. Our pup is a little on the shy side, and she did a great job of working with him to be as comfortable as he could be. We would absolutely ask Sandra to sit for SP again.

I had my 3 year old toy poodle stay with Sandra for a weekend so that I could get away for a weekend with my girlfriend. I was a little nervous about leaving him, because he has separation anxiety and had only spent 2 nights away from me in the last 2 years. Sandra did a great job caring for my pup, and I trust her completely with my dog! She followed all directions I left her to a ‘T’, and I really appreciated her excellent communication with me about him, as it was very reassuring. She made every effort to make him as comfortable as possible during the stay, and I would 100% recommend her as a petsitter! She is a kind woman who loves dogs and takes great pride in caring for them. Sandra gets an A++ rating from me!

I am so glad to have found Sandra who is a wonderful sitter. I was a little nervous leaving Willy for the first time, but he felt right at home with Sandra. Before the overnight stay, Sandra asked all the right questions and kept Willy on his daily schedule. Thanks Sandra. I will definitely leave Willy again when needed.
