Pet care experience

Rescue Dog Pro & Loving Pet Sitter

I work professionally with a dog rescue in Nashville, where I spend time with dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds, and personalities. I’m regularly around rescue dogs and puppies and have experience handling dogs in new environments, reading their behavior, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable. I’ve also fostered dogs myself, which has given me hands on experience caring for dogs in my home and adapting to each dog’s individual needs, personality, and routine. I’m patient, attentive, reliable, and genuinely love getting to know each dog’s individual personality and routine. Whether your pup needs walks, playtime, lots of attention, or simply someone to keep them company, I’ll treat them with the same care I’d want for my own!

Safety, trust & environment

I know how important it is to feel completely comfortable with the person caring for your pet. I’m attentive to each pet’s individual needs and will always follow your instructions regarding feeding, walks, medications, routines, and any house rules. In my home, pets will receive plenty of attention and supervision. I’ll make sure they feel comfortable in a new environment and keep their routine as consistent as possible. My apartment building also has a fenced in dog park for outdoor time, play, and potty breaks. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of both your pet’s routine and your space. I’ll make sure your pet gets the care, attention, and exercise they’re used to, and I’m happy to provide regular photo and text updates so you know how they’re doing while you’re away.

I am Sandy's mother and I know her better than anyone. My worry is that she will only have puppies, dogs, cats in her lifetime, thereby robbing me of ever having grandchildren! She loves the little fur babies that much. In addition, she surprises me often with her level of attention to detail and process. That character trait in her is a bit excessive at times. Translation: Your pets will be very well cared for!

I have nothing but the best to say about Sandra and her commitment to loving and caring for animals. Her dedication to serving the community of pet owners and their pets is nicely demonstrated through her continued work with Wags and Walks (a premier dog rescue), and I have personally seen the way she shows up to support the cats and dogs in my life as well as those of my friends. She is attentive, warm, and professional, and I am always uplifted to see just how much she enjoys her work with animals too. One gets the feeling whenever watching Sandra interact with a cat or dog that there is nothing else she would rather be doing in that moment, and that means the world to me as an animal lover and a pet owner myself.

Sandy and I lived together for eight years, and she was always amazing with my two cats. Whenever I was out of town, I could count on her to take care of them, including feeding them, cleaning their litter boxes, and making sure they got plenty of attention. She genuinely loves animals and was always attentive to their individual personalities and needs. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing they were with someone I completely trusted. I would absolutely recommend Sandy to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and responsible pet sitter!

Schedule

For boarding, I’m home full-time three days a week, and sometimes more, which gives me plenty of flexibility to make pet care part of my routine. I’m available for drop-ins and walks at any time on Sundays and Mondays. Tuesday through Thursday, I’m available from 6–9 a.m. and 6:30–10 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 6–9 a.m. and 4:30–10 p.m. For dogs staying with me, my apartment building also has a fenced-in dog park, making it easy to provide plenty of potty breaks, outdoor time, and playtime throughout the day.

I’d love to know about your pet’s energy level, any reactivity or triggers, leash behavior, and whether they are comfortable being crated. I’d also like to know about their typical routine, how they do around other dogs and people, and any behaviors or quirks I should be aware of. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can make sure they feel safe and comfortable while in my care!
