Pet care is my full-time profession, both inside and outside my home. I work hard to maintain a consistent routine for every dog I care for. Feeding: All dogs are fed in their crates. Walks: Every dog receives individual, one-on-one walks with me. Sleeping: Dogs are crated overnight from 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. I do not offer crate training during boarding. I do not board dogs from multiple families at the same time to ensure personalized care and attention.

Outdoor Time and Activities Any time spent outdoors with your dog will be on a leash for safety and control. I do not take boarding dogs to dog parks to avoid potential risks. For dogs that need more comfort or have crate issues, I offer an alternative— a separate bedroom where they can sleep at night. Crates and Surveillance All crates are provided by me and come equipped with a live-stream surveillance camera, so I can keep an eye on your dog and ensure they are safe and comfortable at all times. Toys, Playtime, and Comfort I offer a wide variety of toys for your dog to enjoy, but if your dog prefers snuggling on the couch, that's perfectly fine too. I adjust to match each dog's energy level and try to tire them out by dinner time so they feel relaxed and content. Outdoor Walks and Paths For dogs that love the outdoors, I have access to two beautiful paved dog paths near my home: A 1-hour long paved path, just a block away, for dogs that enjoy more exercise. A shorter, 30-minute paved path for dogs who may prefer a gentler outing. Each dog’s walks and activities will be tailored to their needs and preferences, ensuring they have a great experience while with me.

Information Sandra C. would like to know about your pet
If your dog is new to your family (adopted/purchased within the last 6months) please let me know so I can look out for behaviours that could be problematic and address them accordingly. As long as I know what to expect, and or to look out for things that you may not be aware of yet, I can help your dog navigate anything. If you’ve had your dog longer than 6 months, I need to be made aware of the following before dropping off for boarding: -Food and/or toy aggression -Reactivity during walks towards certain objects or other dogs -Fear of elevators or stairs -Separation anxiety -Dietary restrictions or special needs diets Other things to make me aware of are: -Places your dog doesn't like to be touched (eg. ears, feet, hips, etc.) -If they have arthritis (and where) -If they have any known respiratory issues that may require shorter outdoor play/walks
A typical day
Outdoor Playtime & Training Each dog has the opportunity to enjoy outdoor playtime on a long leash, securely attached to a tree in my complex. For safety, your dog must be dropped off wearing a harness. This setup allows your dog to play freely, as if off-leash—running, playing catch, and enjoying the outdoors—while remaining tethered to a stationary object for safety. This morning play session happens one-on-one with me, giving your dog both physical and mental stimulation to burn off that initial burst of energy. During this time, I incorporate recall and distraction training, turning what seems like a fun game into a valuable training session. Your dog will think they’re just having a great time, but they’ll be secretly learning along the way! Walks around the lake provide lots of mental and physical stimulation to help your dog relax when back in my home, and of course cuddles are always readily available.

One Doggy At A Time
Pet care experience
I am a dedicated dog trainer and boarder with a deep love for spending time with dogs, ensuring they receive the attention and care they need 24/7. My years of experience, including fostering for the Mississauga Humane Society, contribute to the level of expertise I bring to my services. I also offer basic dog training during boarding, which is reflected in my pricing. I don’t do group boarding, as safety is my highest priority. Whether you have one or two dogs from the same home, there won’t be any other dogs I’m boarding at the same time. This is reflected in my price. This also means that your dog(s) gets my undivided attention and care.
Reviews

Sandra was kind and genuinely cared about Rocky. She texted me with updates about Rocky. When we returned from our trip, Rocky was very relaxed and happy. Sandra really knows about dogs and truly enjoys having them around. We feel happy to find her, and we know Rocky will be safe and cared for with her at all times. Definitely, we will leave Rocky with her again.
Sandra is absolutely amazing. We were lucky she was available to book with her again. It gives us peace of mind to know the dog is in her caring and capable hands when we're away.

I’m always comfortable that my dog is in excellent hands with Sandra! She takes great care of her when I am away. Thank you again!

Thank you for taking care of my baby 💜 I really appreciate it
