I work from home, running a business and completing my dissertation research. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to accommodate different needs. Laney has never demanded a set routine, but I'm generally up early for workouts and coffee breaks on the back deck. However, if your pup likes to sleep in, that's not a problem (Laney has been known to stay in bed late from time to time). I'm happy to discuss options for you and your pet(s).

Safety, trust & environment

Your dog’s safety and comfort come first. I work from home, so your pup will be supervised, loved, and never alone for long. My home offers a fully fenced ~4,000 sq ft yard, dog pool, and quiet walking paths and parks nearby. Indoors, it’s calm, clean, and cozy—perfect for both high-energy dogs and mellow cuddlers. I follow your routine exactly and I'm happy to provide photo/video updates, so you always know your pet is safe and happy. As a dog lover, I consider pets family members, and I know how important it is to be able to trust in the person caring for your loved one(s).

Information Sandra B. would like to know about your pet

My goal is to create a safe, comfortable environment that feels like a second home—so the more I know up front, the better I can tailor their care. To provide the best possible care, I appreciate knowing as much as possible about your pet before their stay. Please share: • Daily routines (meals, walks, bedtime) • Energy level and play style • Any medical needs, allergies, or medications • Crate training preferences (if applicable) • Reactivity, fear triggers, or behavioral notes (e.g., leash sensitivity, guarding, separation anxiety) • How they get along with other dogs • Whether they’re allowed on furniture at home

A typical day

I usually start my mornings early with a workout in our home gym, and Laney (my yellow lab) might join me—or stay in bed if she’s feeling extra sleepy. In our home, flexibility is the name of the game, and we follow each dog’s natural rhythm. Dogs typically enjoy: • A walk in our quiet neighborhood (at least one) • Supervised backyard play in our large fenced yard • Time in the dog pool (for splash-loving pups!) • Tasty treats and enrichment activities • Sunbathing on the deck or lounging on one of our three comfy couches • The occasional game of basketball if the day allows! Since I work from home, I’m around during the day and can adjust my schedule to meet each dog’s needs—whether that’s midday belly rubs, extra outdoor time, or a calm, cozy nap space. We are a fur-friendly family, so pets can enjoy lounging on our furniture. We also have "dog beds" if you prefer to use those. Whether your dog is high-energy or more low-key, their day will be filled with care, play, and plenty of relaxing moments in a calm and enriching environment.

Pet care experience

Hi there! I’m a lifelong animal lover, doctoral candidate, and business owner who works from home—so your pup will have my full attention in a peaceful, fun, and love-filled environment. I’ve cared for dogs and cats for years and have been the trusted sitter for friends and family throughout my life. I enjoy puppy care, high energy dogs, and dogs who benefit from gentle patience and enrichment. Whether your pup needs an active playmate, a calm companion, or a structured routine while you’re away, I’m here to help. I currently share my home with Laney, my yellow lab and best friend. Together, we’ve completed multiple levels of canine education, from basic obedience to therapy and service animal training. I’ve spent years working with her through structured behavior work and commands, which makes me especially comfortable providing care for dogs needing a little extra attention. Laney is well socialized and she's a registered service animal. She has a lot of pup friends and we're actively involved in the neighborhood dog group - hosting playdates and visits and enjoying group walks and meet-ups at the nearby parks. Here’s what your dog will enjoy during their stay: A large fenced yard (~4,000 sq ft) with a well-kept lawn A deck for sunbathing and relaxing (cooling bed optional) A dog pool for supervised splash sessions and cooldowns Access to quiet walking trails in a friendly, pet-loving neighborhood Consistent care from a work-from-home pup-sitter (they won't be left alone for long) I believe every dog deserves loving care, mental stimulation, and lots of joy while their humans are away. If you’re looking for someone who truly understands dogs and offers safe, enriching, high-quality care, I’d love to meet you and your pup!
