Pawsitively Perfect Care

I bring more than experience—I bring behavioral expertise. With a degree in behavior analysis and correction and training in button communication, I specialize in calm, structured care that reduces anxiety, reinforces good habits, and supports pets who need extra understanding. I have obtained a certificate from SIRUS Dog Academy and am a CATCH Canine Trainers Academy graduate: Certified Dog Trainer (CCCDT). I am also self-insured, which goes above and beyond the Rover guarantee. Safety is my priority, and I bring an unparalleled level of care for your pets. (Proof of additional insurance provided to each client or on request.) I bring my service dog, Sophie, a small dachshund, to every interaction (unless not appropriate). Here are the reasons why: 🧠 Calm, Regulated Presence A well-trained service dog brings a steady, neutral energy that can: Help anxious pets feel more at ease Model calm behavior Reduce reactivity in certain situations 🐾 Real-World Socialization (When Appropriate) For pets who are comfortable around other animals, this can provide: Safe, structured exposure Practice with polite greetings and boundaries Reinforcement of calm behavior around other animals Note: This only happens if your pet is a good fit—safety always comes first. 🧪 Supports the Training Approach Within a structured method, having a trained dog present can help: Demonstrate boundaries and responsiveness Reinforce consistency during walks and routines Provide real-time opportunities for learning and redirection 💛 Fully Trained & Controlled My service dog is: Professionally trained Non-reactive and neutral to other animals Under control at all times Never left unsupervised with client pets 🚫 When I Do Not Bring My Service Dog Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first. I will not bring my service dog if: Your pet is reactive or aggressive There are safety concerns You prefer a solo visit 🤝 Always Your Choice I’m happy to discuss what works best for your pet. Transparency and comfort matter, and I’ll always tailor the experience to your preferences. (Sophie was raised among cats and is extremely gentle and well-behaved with them as well.)

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

I provide thoughtful, structured care tailored to each pet and setting—whether in my home or yours. I follow your pet’s established routines for feeding, litter or potty breaks, play, rest, and medication to minimize stress and disruption. With a background in behavior analysis and correction, I pay close attention to body language and behavior changes, focusing on prevention and positive reinforcement rather than punishment. I respect boundaries, allow pets to set the pace for interaction, and create a calm, safe environment where they feel secure. You’ll receive clear updates and observations so you can feel confident your pet is comfortable and well cared for.

Sandie did a fabulous job caring for our two large dogs while we were out of town. She provided just the right amount of updates throughout our absence and included really great photos with each communication. She left our home in wonderful condition. We hope to have her back soon and often!

Sandie took amazing care of our cats. She was incredibly thoughtful, communicative, and truly went above and beyond in her care. What really stood out was how attentive she was to their personalities and comfort levels, helping our more timid kitty gain confidence during her visits. We came home to happy, well-cared-for kitties and felt completely at ease the entire time. We’d absolutely trust Sandie again and highly recommend her!

Schedule

Pet care is intentionally built into my daily and weekly routine, not something I squeeze in between other obligations. I plan my schedule around consistent feeding times, walks, play, enrichment, and check-ins so pets receive reliable, unhurried care. Because my routine is predictable and flexible, I’m able to give each pet focused attention, maintain established habits, and quickly notice any changes in behavior or health. Caring for animals is a regular, prioritized part of my life—not an afterthought.
