Information Sandie B. would like to know about your pet

I don’t have a preference for any particular breed of dog . I love all dogs But I won’t have any dogs who are aggressive or need to be muzzled . I can't take dogs that pull on lead due to hip and shoulder injury. I also like dogs to sleep in the kitchen/ downstairs.

A typical day

Once the dogs have arrived and boarding dogs have been fed we go out for a walk. Then come home for a rest. Clean up and the scamps sleep then when they wake up they have a romp around. We have a lovely snug the dogs are allowed to rest in and some do sleep on the sofa. Early evening and dependant on weather we will go out for another walk. Then bedtime biscuits and another day has been and gone at Scamp Camp.

Pet care experience

I have grown up with dogs and and apart from a brief period where I travelled and I could not have a dog I have always had a dog in my life. Whilst growing up we bred Great Danes and had beagles, labradors and Maltese and often we would end up fostering unwanted dogs. I recently lost my Cavalier Spaniel "Bonnie Banks' and I have been looking after dogs for friends whilst they are away which has led to me deciding I would like to look after other peoples dogs whilst they are away on business or holiday. This way I can still have dogs in my life and still be able to travel now my children are grown up . For the past 7 years I have fostered children and have now transitioned my passion for caring from people to animals. In particular, for dogs after having had various dogs throughout my life. I will only have a maximum of 4 dogs boarding as I want them to have my full attention. Looking after dogs is my only job so I am here most of the day with the dogs. I obviously do have to go to the shops etc or doctors so dogs must be able to be left on their own and not bark as I have neighbours. Due to an injury I am not able to take dogs that pull on lead... Thank you tennis elbow! I am afraid I don’t visit owners home the dog business is run from my home which is safe and clean for your dogs to stay in.

A True Lifesaver for My Girls! I cannot recommend Sandie highly enough! After being let down at the last minute for care for my two beloved pugs, Sandie truly came to my rescue. From my initial frantic message, she was incredibly understanding, professional, and accommodating. It's always a worry leaving your pets, especially with such short notice, but Sandie put my mind at ease immediately. When I picked up my girls, it was clear they had been wonderfully cared for. They were happy, relaxed, and looked like they'd had a fantastic time. I received regular updates and adorable photos, which really helped put my mind at rest. Sandie is not just reliable and flexible, but genuinely caring and clearly understands the needs of different breeds. I'm grateful for her exceptional service and will definitely use them again for any future boarding needs. A five-star experience all around!
