If love had a headcount, mine would be 3 dogs and 11 cats deep. Growing up, animals were a constant part of our home — from midnight vet emergencies to lazy Sunday naps with a cat on my chest and a dog at my feet. They've been my companions since childhood, and caring for them has always felt natural.
