Safety, trust & environment

Safety is my highest priority. I am familiar with safe dog introductions and reading their body language. Additionally, I am trained to safely intervene between animals if they become aggressive, while minimizing injury to the animals and myself. This was taught before I could work at the FM dog rescue. l will respond quickly to reduce stress on your pet. I would like to know immediately if something is upsetting one of my pets, and it is essential that yours receive the same treatment. Additionally, I carry my own pet sitter insurance through "Pet Sitters Associates". I hope to never use it. But I hope it helps give peace of mind.

Information Samuel & Nicole S. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know of any special needs ahead of time. Before I walk or board a dog I require a complimentary meet and greet to ensure that you and your pet are comfortable with me and I can get to know their personality and commands they are used to hearing.

A typical day

A tired dog is a happy dog. The day starts with the backyard and breakfast. Everyone will be separated during breakfast. We have some specialized diets. Treats are typically freeze dried sweet potatoes or Pupford training treats (No Table Scraps). There will always be plenty of toys to play with. If your dog has a favorite toy I recommend bringing it with them. In the summer I love breaking out the kiddie pool! If I am sitting your dog they will be walked on leash at least once a day, usually in the evening, with no other dogs. I believe one-on-one time is important.

Retired and loves animals!

Pet care experience

Growing up on a farm in North Dakota and volunteering at local shelters means that I've been caring for animals almost my entire life. Dogs, cats, and horses, I was part of taking care of our pets from the day they were born until they crossed the rainbow bridge, always treating them like family. When walking or checking in on your pet it will be me (Sam), when boarding it will be both of us, including Nicole. I look forward to hearing from you!

Sam is wonderful! He took the time to meet with us and our new family member, Kimmy, when we first started out to ensure that all our needs and expectations would be met and/or exceeded. Sam is a great communicator, dependable, friendly and a good time manager! We appreciate him so much and look forward to also uaing his and Nicole’s services for stays in the future!

Sam is WONDERFUL!!! He went out of his way to make sure that both my pup Jack and I were comfortable. Jack can be a little skittish around strangers, but Sam won him over in minutes. Sam is attentive, communicative, and reliable. He provides incredible peace of mind for me, and Jack is happier and healthier than ever. I genuinely cannot recommend Sam highly enough!!

Samuel was great! Highly recommended, he had great communication and asked good questions, made me feel comfortable right away. He's obviously very fimilar and comfortable around dogs. My Archie is bit crazy but a sweetie, and he warmed up very quickly to Samuel for his visit. I can tell from the photos he had a BLAST! Thank so much!

Samuel was great with our puppy! It was her first day at home without myself or my husband. Samuel came for two drop in visits on the same day. He ensured that she played, ate, and was not too lonely. He kindly sent updates and gave us some peace of mind.
