About Samuel M.
Dog skills
Safety, trust & environment
My yard is completely fenced in. I feed my German Shepherd and mini dachshund (such a random combination, I know) according to manufacturer guidelines. I have a built in medium sized dog door so they can freely allow themselves in and out as they please. I would much rather care for your loved one(s) at your residence as to not confuse them and to keep their routine as much as posible.
Information Samuel M. would like to know about your pet
Would love to know about the likes and dislikes of your pet! Knowing any weird quirks or habits I should either stick to or avoid prior to meeting with them will be a huge help!
A typical day
Story time with Sam. I will talk with the dogs and tell them all about my years in law enforcement and converse with them about the good days and bad days I had. I know they will listen intensely and bring joy to my day as much as I will to their day. When that’s done, it’s off to the races with their favorite toy or ball so they can get some of that energy out!!

Pet care experience
My experience is vast. I’ve dealt with everything from minor neighbor disputes, to homicides and everything in between; to include some horrific animal abuse cases in my early years as a detective. Caring for animals when they are so pure, innocent and loving is my small way of still giving back in my new season of retired life. This isn’t just a side hustle for me. It is a way for me to process all of the trauma I experienced. While spending time with animals, it seems like they understand me. When my German Shepherd looks at me, I know she deeply cares for me and that everything will be okay. I adopted her after I found her dumped and abandoned on a desolate highway. That was back in 2013. She’s still with us—just don’t know for how much longer. Should you ever entrust your loved one(s) in my care, know that I will treat them as if they were my own. I will protect them as my own and will do everything I can to bring you peace of mind.
Reviews
Sam has often said he prefers Dogs instead of humans. He sings to dogs thinking they understand him and talks to them is this funny little voice. Keep in mind he’s a cop with over 20 years experience and has seen it all but he turns into a softy whenever there’s a dog around. There was a therapy dog at his work that loved him. Turns out that dog (Diego) was really close to him because he sensed all of Sam’s trauma from years of working child abuse cases. Stop doomsday scrolling on who you should pick to care for your animal. You found Sam!!! He’s your guy!!
