Currently unavailable while we renovate our home. We hope to be back at the end of 2026/early 2027! Hi! My wife Katherine and I are both experienced pet carers who have spent our whole lives around animals, mainly larger dog breeds like Labradors which I grew up with, as well as cats and horses. We are insured for our sitting and boarding services through Pet Plan Sanctuary. Growing up, we always had pets at home, and from a young age we were responsible for their daily care. That included everything from walking the dogs, mucking out stables, feeding routines, grooming, bathing, and of course ball/stick throwing and belly rubs (for those that want it). Over the years, we’ve continued to care for animals for friends, family and neighbours often stepping in when they're away or need a helping hand. We've looked after everything from high energy puppies to senior dogs needing a gentler approach. We’re confident with strong, active breeds and understand how to tailor exercise and play to each dog's needs. Also picking up on when they may need space or affection depending on their mood.

Wow, what can I say, don’t know where to start! Sam and Katherine looked after Marley our cockerpoo and they were fantastic from start to finish. He went on amazing walks and we were updated with his progress over the weekend which helped put the kids minds at ease as first real time we had left him with any one other than family. I can’t express how happy we are with the service and how we will definitely be using Sam and Katherine again. Thank you again
Excellent care for my two pugs who can be quite anxious. Obviously genuine dog lovers. I couldn’t have asked for more from them. Highly recommended.
What a lovely couple. My dog has had a fantastic time. He's come home exhausted after a very long walk. From the photos I have been sent, I can see he thoroughly enjoyed his walks. He was welcomed into their home and treated as though he was their own. It was clear to me that they are dog sitting because they love dogs. I am so happy that my dog was so well looked after. Sam was efficient and they were absolutely amazing looking after our dog Dottie. This was the first time we had left her as she is only 4 months, They were very attentive and kept us updated with all the fun that she was having. Will absolutely be using them again in the future. Can’t recommend them enough 5 star dog sitters.
Our tiny rather nervous boy had the very best calm and understanding care. We are very confident in Sam and Catherine to have Max stay over again. 🐾
We couldn’t be happier with Sam and Katherine as dogsitters for our Cockapoo, Dot. She’s an energetic, excitable little character who loves long walks, endless games of fetch, and although well trained, can be quite demanding due to her high energy levels. Dot came home happy and well-exercised, and it was clear they had taken great care of her. We felt completely at ease knowing she was in such capable hands. If you’re looking for sitters who balance fun, patience and genuine affection, we can’t recommend Sam and Katherine highly enough!

Dates de la garde
We’re primarily available for pet care from Thursday evenings through to Monday evenings, making us a great option for long weekends, getaways, or regular weekend care. Katherine, my wife, works from home on Fridays and Mondays, so your dog will have company and supervision throughout the day during those times. We are both early risers with flexible hours to give us the ability to fit in walks and other duties. While weekends are our most consistent availability, we may also be able to offer care for longer spells depending on our schedules, so feel free to get in touch with your dates and needs. We’re flexible where we can be and always happy to accommodate if possible. Whether it’s a weekend stay, a few days of doggy day care, we’ll ensure your pet is well looked after and comfortable during their time with us.

We are insured for our sitting and boarding services through Pet Plan Sanctuary. We treat every pet in our care as if they were our own, with a strong focus on creating a safe, calm, and loving environment. Our home is a detached property in a rural area, with a fully secured garden where dogs can enjoy supervised outdoor time safely. We’re very mindful of each pet’s individual needs, routines, and boundaries whether that means quiet time for a more nervous animal or plenty of stimulation and play for high energy dogs. Although we’d love to have pets of our own, we’ve made the conscious decision to wait. Due to our current work commitments and lifestyle, we feel it wouldn’t be fair to take on full time responsibility for an animal right now. That’s why we joined Rover to continue spending time with animals and provide genuine, attentive care to pet owners who need someone they can trust.
Une journée type
We are early risers and enjoy walks before breakfast. Monday to Friday we work but have flexibility with hours and Katherine works from home on these days. On weekends we like to spend time outdoors at home or further afield.
