Your Dog’s New Best Friend!
I’ve been raising and training my goldendoodle puppy since he was just 10 weeks old (we’ve been together since November 2024!), and it’s been an incredibly rewarding journey. As someone who mainly works from home (consultant and educator), I’ve had the flexibility to be hands-on every step of the way with my dog, from crate and potty training to basic commands and socialization. I’m patient, attentive, and adaptable, and I understand the unique needs of puppies, including administering medication and offering gentle, consistent care. I love getting to know each dog’s personality and routine, and I’m committed to meeting them where they are to ensure they feel safe, happy, and loved.

I’m so grateful to have found Sam to watch my 9-month-old puppy, Benny, for the day and overnight! He took such great care of him and made me feel totally at ease, especially since he was just getting over a bit of GI upset. Sam kept me updated with plenty of photos and messages throughout the stay — including helpful updates on how his tummy was doing and his bowel movements (a dog mom’s dream when you’re away 🐶💩). Benny had such a lovely time playing with Alula, his sweet pup, they got along great! I could tell he felt comfortable and had so much fun. I would absolutely book again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a kind, communicative, and responsible sitter. Thank you again!
Samuel (Sam) is an incredibly dedicated dog owner and caregiver. He is currently raising a goldendoodle puppy and is very knowledgeable about everything that goes into nurturing a well-trained and cared-for dog. Sam is trustworthy, on-time, a great communicator, and very easy to work with. I wholeheartedly recommend Sam for any pup-related task!!!!

Schedule
As someone who mainly works from home, pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I structure my day around regular walks, playtime, meals, and training sessions with my own dog, so I’m already in the rhythm of providing attentive, consistent care. Whether it’s early morning potty breaks, midday walks, or evening snuggles, I have the flexibility to meet your pet’s needs throughout the day. I have availability typically on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and sporadic availability on other days. Please feel free to inquire and I’ll respond ASAP. My dog and I look forward to hanging out with your dog!

Safety, trust & environment
Whether caring for pets in my home or a client’s, safety and trust are critical. I create a calm, structured environment. In my apartment, your dog will enjoy a clean, dog-friendly space with plenty of supervised play, cozy rest areas, and a consistent routine. I live a block away from a fenced dog park as well as lots of grassy and waterfront areas. I also live a block away from a veterinary clinic, a block away from a dog groomer, and a short car ride from a 24/7 pet hospital with an emergency department. I’m experienced with crate/play pen use and safe feeding practices. In a client’s home, I would follow your instructions closely to maintain your pet’s routine and comfort.
Pets
A typical day
Depending on your dog’s energy level and preferences, we might start with a walk, some sniff time, or a gentle play session to get moving. I mix in enrichment activities like training games, puzzle toys, or fetch to keep the mind and body engaged. For cuddle bugs, there’s always time for belly rubs and cozy naps. I would stick to your routine as closely as possible.
