I’m currently raising an English Cream Golden Retriever, Bowie, and I’ve adapted my schedule to accommodate his unique needs and preferences. I’ve prioritized physical activity and ample playtime at home, while also understanding his preferred resting spots. After walks, he loves to rest on the bed, and in the mornings, he enjoys looking out the front window from the couch. I find it rewarding to have my schedule revolve around keeping my pets involved, engaged, social, and happy.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced-in yard. A backyard with grass to run around, a back deck to lie on for sunbathing. A lovely garden that gets watered with the help of my own dog that loves jumping at the water while I water plants. He’s a very good helper. He has been socialized his whole life at dog parks and on walks with other dogs and humans. He is a playful dog that loves playing only if the other dog wants to as well. Many dogs have asserted themselves to my dog at a dog park or on a walk; he is very well trained not to engage in aggressive behavior but to submit and sit down, ears back to build trust with other dogs. I have outdoor cameras that are utilized for basic safety as well as making sure the gate is closed, dogs are visible, and any hazards (large branches or other animals) can be removed for best safety when dogs are outside. Maintaining a clean yard for my pets is important. Frequently cleaning the yard for dog waste, proper weed and grass maintenance. Making sure no foreign objects, rocks, or anything dangerous could pose an interest for the pets to investigate. Proper outdoor lighting for low light and nighttime outdoor potty times ensures further safety at night.

Information Samuel A. would like to know about your pet
Every dog has its own preferred way of being treated. Some dogs, like mine, even have a dislike for certain sounds, such as the toaster. Whether your dog needs medically necessary care, has a preference that needs to be respected, or your preference, you know your dog best. Sharing any unique quirk or characteristic that your pet enjoys is a pleasure to prioritize. I would hope that my pet sitter knows my dog’s favorite song, “Dog Gibberish,” which my dog loves when we cuddle up on the bed.
A typical day
The delightful inspection of scents on a neighborhood dog walk is a joy to watch for each dog to indulge in. The path of my walk is likely influenced by the enticing aromas, the opportunity to meet other dogs, and the chance to receive the attention of anyone outside who would be delighted to greet a happy dog.

Pet care experience
Growing up with pets as family members has always been a necessary adventure. I began fostering puppies to house-train and socialize them before adoption. Yes, I ended up adopting multiple dogs I fostered because I fell in love with them! On top of my one or two dogs, for many years I would have two, three, and sometimes four foster puppies at a time. The dedication to loving all these pets has brought a true passion for animal care.
Reviews
Samuel is incredibly thoughtful, patient, and attentive with all of his pet interactions. He has earned a repeat customer! I’ve had the privilege to witness Samuel’s services first hand. Each time he’s interacted with my two year old Havanese, Bernie we’ve had an unforgettable experience! Bernie can be very shy when he first meets new people or dogs, and Samuel paid very close attention to Bernie’s needs and preferences by letting Bernie gradually warm to him until he was comfortable! When settled, Bernie is a lap dog and loves being close to his trusted humans. Bernie’s thank you was to sit in Samuel’s lap and give him lots of kisses! I’m confident that this is the start of a beautiful relationship for Bernie! Furthermore, Samuel was also able to successfully introduce Bernie to his dog, Bowie- a two year old English Cream Golden Retriever- and supervised a wonderful play date between the two dogs! He paid close attention to Bernie’s and Bowie’s needs and made sure both dogs were comfortable, watered, and had time to relax afterwards. His attention allowed both dogs to be comfortable regardless of their size difference and play styles! I will be employing Samuel’s services in the future without a doubt!
Samuel is awesome with pets, even (and especially) nervous and anxious ones. My dog, Mr. Grinch, is an easily worried and fearful Australian Shepherd. He loves Samuel and is willing to walk with him and take food from him. Samuel is intuitive with animals and always seems to know what Mr. Grinch needs as soon as he needs it. He has even made feeding time into a game to get Grinch interested in eating while anxious. I know Rover doesn't offer pet photography, but I want to add that Samuel has a creative background and has taken priceless photos of Mr. Grinch and other animals if you're looking for pet portraits. He's reliable and deeply cares about animals. I highly recommend him, and so does Grinch!
