Hello, I’m Sammie, it’s lovely to meet you and thank you for taking the time to visit my profile! If you ask the people who know me best what I’m most passionate about, the answer will always be the same…animals! For as long as I can remember, animals have been my greatest source of happiness, comfort and purpose. To me, they are family, and I believe every pet deserves to be treated with love, patience, kindness and respect. My experience🐾 I have been around animals all my life. I currently have four indoor rescue cats, all raised from kittens, and two dogs with very different needs. One of my dogs is elderly with arthritis, so I’m experienced in administering medication, adapting walks and monitoring his comfort. My other dog is reactive and anxious, giving me first-hand experience of building trust with nervous dogs through patience, routine and understanding. I’ve also cared for smaller pets including guinea pigs, hamsters and gerbils. As the owner of four indoor cats, I’m especially mindful of keeping doors, windows and escape routes secure, understanding the extra vigilance indoor cats require. Trusted Pet & House Sitter🏡 I’m incredibly proud and grateful that colleagues regularly ask me to care for both their pets and their homes because they know they’ll be safe, loved and well looked after. On multiple occasions, I have pet and house sat for my colleague’s Bullmastiff, Tyga. By the end of his sits, Tyga had formed a wonderful bond with me and had settled beautifully with me in his home, and my colleague fed back that she was delighted with the care I provided for both Tyga and her home. I’m also booked to care for another colleague’s two rescue cats later this year, and references are available. I understand that inviting someone into your home is a huge act of trust. I’m a non-smoker, non-drinker, DBS checked, extremely clean, tidy and respectful. I’m also happy to water plants, collect post, put bins out and help with general household upkeep.
