What sets me apart is my lifelong experience caring for dogs and my understanding of the patience and attention they need at every stage of life. I grew up with two Border Collies who both lived to be 13 years old, so I’m very comfortable with energetic dogs as well as the needs that come with caring for a senior dog. One of my dogs developed arthritis as he got older, so I understand the importance of being patient with dogs experiencing pain or mobility issues and paying close attention to changes in their behavior and comfort. I’ve also cared for dogs belonging to friends and family, so I’m comfortable adapting to different personalities, routines, and needs. I’ll treat your dog like family, follow their routine closely, and make sure they receive plenty of patience, attention, exercise, and affection while they’re in my care.

When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent and comfortable as possible. I’ll follow their usual feeding, walking, playtime, and medication schedule, and make sure they receive plenty of attention and affection while their family is away. I understand that being in their own home can help pets feel more comfortable, so I’ll give them the care and companionship they need while respecting their space and routines. I’ll also keep the home clean and tidy, provide regular updates and photos, and be attentive to any changes in their behavior, appetite, or overall well-being.
Ratings and reviews
During our four days away, Samantha did an exceptional job looking after our animals. Our two cats and our dog where looked after twice a day and kept on there feeding schedule, litter box was kept clean, and our dog was taken out as needed. She also made sure our cat Jasper was given his insulin shots before feeding which was a great peace of mind. We would definitely have her back to take care of our pets should we need it again!

Schedule
I have a flexible schedule because I work as a freelance gardener, which allows me to plan my day around pet care. I’m able to dedicate time to visits, walks, feeding, playtime, and companionship rather than having to fit pet care into a rigid schedule. I enjoy spending time with animals and can be flexible with visit times and routines. I’ll make sure each pet gets the attention, care, and consistency they need while their family is away.
