Safety, trust & environment

I live in a quiet village with lots of back roads, perfect for quiet walks. I have a pack of aussie mixes - two rescues - so there will also be friends to play with and your pup will never be lonely. Is there something you've been trying to work on with your dog? A trick? Crate training? Let me know and I'll be happy to help while they're with me!

Home

Information Samantha S. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviours to keep an eye on. I'd love to hear about their current daily routine so I can match it as closely as possible - dogs thrive on structure and I want them to be as happy and comfortable as they would be at home. Do they sleep in bed with you, in the hallway just outside your room, or in a crate? Do they have a favourite toy or blanket? I want to know it all!

A typical day

Boarding/daycare: Did you know? Adult dogs typically sleep 12–14 hours a day, with a long stretch at night and naps during the day. We start the morning with an early outdoor break, followed by breakfast and at least an hour of quiet digestion time. Then come our morning walks and optional playtime. Once everyone’s tuckered out, we settle in for a relaxing snooze. Later, we head out for another walk to stretch our legs, then enjoy some brain games or light training. After supper, we settle down for some cuddles while we digest. We'll finish up the evening with another walk before heading to bed. I take pictures throughout the day and WILL bombard you with them - who wouldn't want cute pictures of their dog having fun! Drop-ins: Does your dog constantly stop to smell the "roses"? I don't mind. Our walk(s) will allow for plenty of stop-n-sniff time. We will practice road etiquette (sitting before we cross) as leash manners. I have time for when you don't!

Pet care experience

I've been taking care of animals my whole life. Neighbors, friends and family rely on me babysit their pets while they are away, and call on me in emergency situations for advice with behavioural or health related issues. My love for animals knows no bounds - I currently volunteer with Marshall's Dog Rescue as well as Freedom Dog Rescue and only babysit when I do not have a foster in home. I have experience with puppies as young as 8 weeks as well as older, senior dogs.

Samantha awesome took such great care of my fur baby, so happy she was left overnight with her. My fur baby and myself both have separation anxiety and first time leaving her with someone thats not family outside my home and she went above and beyond to make sure she well taken care of. Sent me videos and pictures as updates that my baby was ok as well made me so happy to see them. Gave great advice on how we should spend the night apart next time !! 💯 recommend

Wow! My dogs just loved her, and she just took the most amazing pictures of the boys. Would definitely reach out to Samantha again in the future!
