Hi there! I’m a mom of two wonderful kids, ages 8 and 11. We have two chickens and recently adopted two cats. Growing up on a farm, I was surrounded by just about every type of animal imaginable, and caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life. If you’re looking for overnight care, your pet will need to be comfortable around children, as my kids are very involved in our family life and love animals. My 8-year-old is especially passionate about animals and quickly becomes best friends with any dog who stays with us! I know that isn’t the right fit for every pet, so I like to be upfront about our home environment. I currently work part-time both in and out of the home, and the longest I am typically gone is about 3 hours. My schedule is flexible, and I spend most of my time at home, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, companionship, and care. We live in a house with a large fenced yard, grass to play on, a built-in doggy door that can be locked if needed, and secure fencing ranging from 4–6 feet high with a double gate. We also live near a canyon trailhead and enjoy regular walks throughout the week. Our pets are family, and any pet staying with us will be treated the same way. They’ll receive lots of love, attention, playtime, and care while you’re away. Having dogs around has been such a wonderful addition to our family, and we truly enjoy welcoming them into our home. Samantha is flexible and incredibly professional. My mother was hospitalized in the middle of our dog’s boarding and she graciously extended the reservation. She provided photos and stayed consistently in contact. Will use her again for sure. Highly recommended!

Schedule
We have had a variety of animals over the years, and growing up on a farm, caring for animals has always been a part of my daily life. From feeding and cleaning up after them to making sure they feel safe and loved, animal care comes naturally to me. Having a dog in our family has been a wonderful addition, and I enjoy spending time with animals of all kinds and personalities.

Safety, trust & environment
Any dog we watch is welcome to sleep and relax wherever they feel most comfortable. We’ve cared for dogs with all different preferences—some prefer their crate, some sleep next to my bed, and others have happily curled up on my kids’ beds. We always make sure fresh water is available and carefully follow any feeding or dietary instructions provided. Daily walks are included at a minimum, and we adjust playtime and activity levels to match each dog’s personality and needs. Our goal is to make your dog feel safe, comfortable, and at home while you’re away.
Pets
A typical day
We have plenty of dog toys, balls, a great yard for playing, and lots of wonderful places to walk near our home. We love playing fetch, tug-of-war, and spending time engaging with the dogs in our care. While I generally avoid dog parks and off-leash beaches due to past experiences, there are still many safe and enjoyable places nearby for walks, exploration, and exercise. We tailor activities to each dog’s energy level and personality to make sure they have a fun and comfortable stay.
