I have more than 30 years experience working with dogs, cats and critters. I have training in dog and cat behavior, as well as a bachelor's degree in educational psychology. I have worked for a Phoenix based dog training company. I have also volunteered and then worked in pet rescues and local shelters for the past 20 years. I was the Education Program Manager and the Director of Behavior Department at Arizona Animal Welfare League. I spent 10 years at Maricopa County Animal Care and Control as Community Outreach Supervisor, Alternative Placement Supervisor and Kennel Supervisor. During my time at both Arizona Animal Welfare League and Maricopa County Animal Care and Control, I performed animal behavior assessments, trained staff/volunteers to perform behavior assessmements, trained staff/volunteers in dog and cat handling, training and behavior modification. I also taught responsible pet care, training and more to youth groups. I have provided pet sitting and pet care services in home for more than 30 years. I am comfortable and practiced at working with multiple pets in a home. At the shelters, I was skilled at facilitating dog to dog introductions and multiple dog play groups. I trained staff/volunteers in developing these skills. I enjoy pets and their people.
