I am a teacher who has the summers off! I have plenty of time in the summer to spend with your pup to make them feel at home! I sometimes work a few hours a day so dogs will have to be alone for about 4 hours. In August, I do go back to teaching full time so I can definitely still care for your dogs but I am gone from 8a-4p most days during the school year:-(

I have a fenced yard so we are able to spend lots of time outside. We have lots of great areas to walk to and play depending on what your dog enjoys! I do allow pets on the furniture but can also enforce rules if you want to stay consistent with training.

Information Samantha S. would like to know about your pet
It is important to me that your dog feels at home when they are with me. Let me know what their normal routine is and I can try to stick to it if you think that's helpful. I want to know if there is anything in particular you are working on so we can continue training even when you are gone!
A typical day
It totally depends on your dog. It would be great to wake up and go for a walk to play fetch in the backyard or at a park. Then take some time to relax at home until the evening when it's not as hot and go for another walk or maybe just a training session at home.

Fenced in yard - love hiking
Pet care experience
I will love your dog like my own while they are with me. I don't have a dog right now so I can really make your dog feel special, give them the attention they deserve, and make them feel at home. I love being active outside with the dogs whether it's just playing out in the backyard or going on a long hike. While you are gone, I want your dog to feel like they are on the best vacation ever. I used to have a 90 lb Husky/German Shepherd mix so I do love big dogs. I also had a 40 lb rescue that I trained. I do have a fenced in backyard, so we try to be outside as much as possible when it's nice out!
Reviews

Samantha was great! We got good pictures of the dogs every day, and she took great care of our huskies in the heat. Would definitely recommend Samantha as a sitter!
Sam was awesome, super helpful. She actually picked up and dropped off our dog for us .They went camping and hiking. Our dog was totally satisfied when we got home!

We are lucky to have found Samantha as a sitter for our dog, Austin! She is reliable, flexible and so sweet to our pup!

Samantha really did a great job watching our pups while we were away. She also was great to work with as I was already traveling and she had to coordinate details with my husband instead of me. She took extra time to take them out hiking and make sure they were comfortable. They fit in with her so well that when my husband picked them up Scout was barking in defense of her home like it was his own. We would use her again for sure and would recommend her to others - our dogs had a great visit!
