Loving Pet Sitter

Hi! I’m so excited to offer pet care through Rover. I’ve always loved animals, and this is the first time in my life I’m not currently living with a dog or caring for a pet of my own — so getting to spend time with other people’s cats and dogs is something I genuinely enjoy and take seriously. I’ve cared for pets through friends and family, including weekend house sitting, and I raised my own dog, Boomer. I also solely cared for my cat, Lulu, for 12 years. I’ve lived with two roommates who each brought home 8-week-old Golden Retriever puppies, and I helped with their care as they grew—feeding, potty breaks, playtime, walks, and learning their routines. I’m calm, dependable, and very attentive to each pet’s comfort and needs. I love keeping pets on their normal schedule so they feel safe and relaxed, and I’m always happy to send photo updates so you can feel confident while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet you and your pet!

My first time using rover app and got blessed with such an amazing, kind, responsible and caring individual! I don’t travel often but she made my anxiety go away instantly knowing I was leaving my 3 Dogs in her care. Next trip I will most definitely reach back out again to Samantha! 10/10 highly recommend. Thank you so much again for providing wonderful care of my babies <3

Schedule

Pet care fits really well into my weekly routine because I work a consistent schedule with flexibility. I typically go into the office in Georgetown between 8:00–8:30 AM and I’m usually off by 4:30 PM. I also have work-from-home capabilities, and while I try to be in the office about 4 days a week (even if it’s for half days), I’m able to adjust my schedule when needed. This allows me to be available for morning and evening walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting depending on your pet’s routine.

Safety, trust & environment

I care for pets with safety, routine, and comfort as my top priorities—whether I’m in your home or out on a walk. I always follow your instructions closely (feeding, potty breaks, walk habits, and any house rules) so your pet feels secure and stress-free while you’re away. For walks, I make sure dogs are properly leashed, avoid unsafe situations, and adjust the pace based on their energy level. For drop-in visits and house sitting, I keep pets on their normal schedule, give them plenty of attention and companionship, and make sure they have fresh water, a clean space, and lots of love. I’m also very respectful in clients’ homes—I keep things clean, lock doors, double-check gates, and pay attention to details to keep your pet safe. I’m happy to send photo updates as well, so you always know your pet is doing great.

A typical day

A typical day with pets I watch is focused on keeping them happy, comfortable, and sticking to their normal routine. For dogs, that usually includes potty breaks, walks (whether it’s a longer walk for exercise or a slower “sniff walk”), playtime, and lots of attention and companionship. I love giving dogs a mix of movement and mental stimulation—like exploring new walking routes, practicing basic manners (sit, stay, etc.), or playing fetch and tug if they enjoy it. For cats, I keep things calm and cozy and follow their comfort level—whether that means gentle play with wand toys/lasers, brushing, window lounging, or simply keeping them company while they relax. I always make sure they have fresh food and water, a clean litter box, and a peaceful environment. Most importantly, I treat every pet like family!

Before caring for your pet, I always like to know a few important details so I can keep them safe, comfortable, and on their normal routine. Helpful things to know ahead of time are: -Their daily schedule (feeding times, potty breaks, walks, playtime) -Any behavior quirks or triggers (shy, anxious, reactive on leash, hiding, etc.) -Leash habits and how they do around other dogs/people -Any medical needs, allergies, or medications (and where supplies are kept) -Favorite toys, treats, and what helps them feel comfortable -Whether they have any rules at home (furniture, crate, certain rooms off-limits) -For cats: litter box location, cleaning routine, and if they’re escape artists or nervous around strangers The more I know ahead of time, the better I can make your pet feel safe and happy—a note is always helpful if possible!
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
