For the past 30+ years, I’ve worked with a wide range of animals, from puppies and senior dogs to cats, birds, goats, and other small livestock. My experience has given me a strong ability to read animal behavior and understand what pets need—whether that’s reassurance, structure, enrichment, or simply extra attention. I’ve worked in veterinary clinics and helped coordinate care at animal sanctuaries, supporting exotic pets, farm animals, livestock, fish, and reptiles. I’m experienced in administering medications and handling animals safely and compassionately. I also specialize in fostering and supporting animals with behavioral challenges, particularly anxious or reactive dogs. I understand how stressful that can be for both pets and their owners, and I provide behavior consultations focused on building trust, reducing stress, and creating a more balanced home environment. My approach is always individualized. Every pet has a unique personality, and I believe they deserve thoughtful, attentive care tailored to their specific needs.

Unfortunately no boarding at this time. In your home I prefer to follow your personal routine to keep things consistent, but am always open to conversations about updates to the plan.

Samantha was great! She watched our two cats and our dog (and they loved her immediately). We had some last minute additions to some pet medications right before our trip and Samantha was very good about noting down the requirements and successfully administering said meds to our old cat. We received daily updates and photos that provided some relief to us as this was our first time using rover. We highly recommend Samantha!
Samantha was great with our 3 cats and 2 very anxious dogs. She was patient and kind with them. We came home to a clean house - she even took the garbage out, brought our bins back in, and loaded the bedding in the washer. She went above and beyond watering plants, having great communication, and sending cute pics while we were gone. We came home to happy pets and are so thankful she took such great care of them. Highly recommend her and will book her again!
Samantha took excellent care of our Great Dane and our cat. She communicated clearly throughout and consistently sent photos, which we really appreciated. We came home to a clean house and happy, well-cared-for pets. We would absolutely hire her again.

Samantha did a great job watching our dog Luca, and puppy, Kylo for a week while we were traveling. She checked in daily and tired them both out. We were delayed a bit later than we had originally planned and Samantha was accommodating. Will definitely be booking with her again!

Schedule
I maintain a flexible schedule as an office administrator for a company that mentors adults with autism. I make my own schedule and either work remotely from home on my laptop or my downtown office.
