Hi my name is Samantha (Sam) and I live in Oakland. I have two years work experience at a doggy daycare/kennel along with working at a family owned pet store in Evanston for four years; I have familiarity with birds, reptiles, rabbits, small animals of all kinds you name it I’ve cared for them. Raised in the Chicagoland area but have been living in the East bay for the last five. I used to foster dogs through North Shore Waggin. My companion and best friend crossed over the rainbow bridge April 2024 after eleven and half years together. I have a car, a flexible schedule, and a knack for dogs. I promise to responsibly love and care for your pet so you don’t need to worry while you’re away! Animals like routine, so I try my best to keep their routine as normal as possible. If your pet is social and friendly, I would love to incorporate social time with them. Take them out to a café or to a park. We'll try to do all the things they would do with you!

Sam is fantastic, a true master communicator with dogs. She adores living their lives with them, taking them out on the trails and playing their favorite games. Couldn’t be happier to leave our pup in her hands when we’re out of town.
Sam is my GO TO when I need pet care! She communicated and sent photos throughout our vacation, and even took our cat for a walk! She has great animal energy, and the fact that my cat went for a walk with her, says it all! She went above and beyond - and we are so happy with her care , communication and commitment to our pets ! We will most definable book her again ;)
Sam as a person is one of the most genuine people I know. My nickname for her is Eliza Thornberry because I’m in awe of how she communicates with animals. Be it dogs, cats, and snakes, they respond so well to her calm , affectionate and observant demeanor. It’s really amazing to watch . Anyone would be lucky to work with a experienced natural like Sam.
Not only would Samantha be an awesome dog walker/sitter for your dog, she also has a dog herself so she knows what she's doing. She has also fostered several different dog breeds/mixes and understands how different dog breeds can act. Samantha is an experienced and amazing dog owner/dog walker. She takes them for the best walks out around the neighborhood or in the forest preserve. If you want a dog walker who not only takes your dog for fun walks, but genuinely cares and treats your dog right...then choose Samantha!
Sam is a great dog sitter! She is very compassionate with dogs, understands how they work, and is in tune with their needs. Sam also has lots of experience fostering dogs in her home, which means she is great at helping dogs feel safe and comfortable, even in new environments.

Schedule
I work around the east bay area and have my hand in all sorts of honey pots! I rarely work more than 6 hours total a day, and no more than 3 to four hours at a time. An average potty time walk would be anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes. I try make time for one leisure walk a day which lasts to a minimum an hour. Cuddle/play time is a must! I have a lot of breaks throughout the day to check in and give your pet the attention it deserves
