I do still currently board a few retirement horses so the dog boarding fits right into my daily routine. As I have my own variety of animals, taking care of animals both large and small is something I am very comfortable doing.

I have converted 2 horse stalls into 4 -10’x5’x5’ kennels. There are 2 kennels per stall and each kennel is seperated so each kennel cannot have any direct contact with the other. Two sliding barn doors on each stall are open daily to allow lots of light and airflow and give the dogs plenty to look at outside. At night the doors are closed up which allows the dogs to all settle in for the night. Each stall is equipped with fans with misters (for summertime) overhead heat lamps ( for winter if needed) and overhead lights are on timers. All dogs are taken out 2x day to play in the 100’x75’ fully enclosed arena which is filled with an assortment of dog toys. In addition I take the dogs out 2x daily for short walks. I intentionally only have 4 kennels which allows for a calm, quiet setting and the dogs receive lots of individual attention.

Information Samantha M. would like to know about your pet
Only dogs that are from the same household will be turned loose together in the arena to play. Dogs that are not familiar with one another are strictly not allowed to touch noses or get close enough to have contact. I am comfortable with giving oral or topical meds but I do not do injectables.
A typical day
I take the dogs out twice daily and turn them loose to run in my fully enclosed 100’x75’ sand arena which has a doggie pool and lots of toys to play with. In addition I also will take them out on short walks before they are tucked in for the night.

Pet care experience
I have been a horse trainer for over 35 years- boarding, training all breeds of horses and giving riding instruction. Over the last year I have recently begun the switch over to dog boarding which has entailed modifying the horse stalls into large, airy kennels and fully enclosing my 100’x 75’ horse arena into a giant dog playground.
Reviews

Samantha was fantastic with our babies. This is not your typical boarding place. She described it as summer camp for doggies and it is accurate. The area she has set up for the dogs is well thought-out, clean, and meets all of their needs and more. She took lots of pictures (different subject but her pictures were amazing), kept me updated throughout the day and let me know when my dogs were tucked in for the night. My city dogs got to meet horses, goats, and pigs and I think they had a great time, because they slept for so long when they got home. Im looking forward to their next summer camp with Samantha!

Lilly seemed to have a great stay with Samantha. Lilly had fun running around, chasing tennis balls and a frisbee and even decided to take a plunge in the kiddie pool. Samantha was great about sending us updates and pictures of Lilly’s stay. Thank you Samantha for everything!

Samantha was fantastic! Incredibly friendly and took great care of our dog. Definitely recommend!
Samantha was amazing! Definitely will board my dog with her again!
