Although I'm new to Rover, I'm not new to caring for pets. I've provided pet sitting and drop-in care for friends and friends of friends, giving me experience with dogs and cats of different personalities, routines, and energy levels. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. Owning my own dog has taught me the value of patience, enrichment, positive interactions, and paying attention to each dog's individual personality and needs. I know every pet is unique, so I take the time to learn their routine, preferences, and what helps them feel comfortable and happy. I'm an active person who genuinely enjoys getting outside for walks and adventures, and I love making sure dogs have the opportunity to explore, sniff, and enjoy their time outside at their own pace. Whether your dog loves a longer adventure walk, a game of fetch, or simply some extra companionship, I'll make sure they get the attention and care they deserve. For cats and more relaxed pets, I'm just as happy spending quality time keeping them company, playing with their favorite toys, or providing a calm and comforting presence while you're away. My goal is simple: to provide dependable, compassionate care so you can leave knowing your pet is safe, happy, and treated like one of my own. For walks, I focus on creating a safe and enjoyable experience by paying attention to your dog's energy level, surroundings, and comfort. Whether your dog enjoys an energetic adventure or a slower walk with plenty of time to sniff and explore, I will follow their pace and needs. During drop-in visits, I will treat your home with the same respect I would want for my own. I will follow your instructions carefully, keep your pet's routine consistent, and provide updates with photos and messages so you can feel confident knowing they are happy and cared for. My goal is to create a safe, positive experience for both you and your pet—giving you peace of mind while your furry friend enjoys some extra love and attention.

I can't recommend Samantha highly enough! She is one of the most attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring dog people I know. She treats every dog as an individual, taking the time to understand their personality, needs, and routines. She's incredibly committed to canine enrichment and training—she even takes her own dog to scent work classes and has done an amazing job training her. It's obvious how much time and love she invests in making sure her dog is happy, confident, and well cared for. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, mental stimulation, or just a calm, comforting presence, you can trust that they'll be in excellent hands. She has cared for my own dogs several times, and I've never felt more at peace. My dogs were treated as her own family, and probably didn't want to come back home;) You'll be lucky to have Samantha care for your pet!
Sam is a fantastic dog sitter. She watched our golden Riley and was so attentive and loving. I felt completely comfortable leaving knowing that she was taking care of her. Sam ensured Riley went on walks, played in the park and had great snuggles. We even got some pictures from her when we were away! Would definitely recommend Sam for walks or extended pet care. She has a great love for dogs!
I’m incredibly picky about who watches my 100lb goofy Lab, but Sam is easily at the top of my list! She is patient, reliable, and has a naturally calm energy that dogs just love. I cannot recommend her enough.

Schedule
Since the school year has begun, my availability is more structured as I return to teaching. It is more focused on providing weekend support and occasional weekdays during the school breaks. I will continue to update my schedule and communicate clearly to make sure I can provide reliable care for the pets I commit to. I enjoy being able to provide pets with attention, exercise, and companionship when their families need an extra hand.

Every pet has their own personality, routines, and preferences, and knowing these details helps me provide the best care possible. Important things I would like to know ahead of time include: * Your pet's normal routine, including feeding, bathroom breaks, walks, and favorite activities * Their personality and what helps them feel comfortable (are they playful, shy, independent, or a little nervous in new situations?) * Their favorite toys, games, treats, and ways they like to interact * Any commands, training routines, or preferences you would like me to continue * How they typically react to new people, other pets, sounds, or different environments * Any health concerns, medications, allergies, or special care instructions * Anything that helps your pet feel safe, happy, and at ease I also appreciate knowing the little details that make your pet who they are—whether they love a certain walking route, have a favorite sleeping spot, or have a funny habit that makes them special. The more I know, the better I can make each visit feel comfortable and familiar for them.
