I don’t have a dog of my own because my weekday job limits the attention I am capable of providing. Baring workdays , I am an early riser and if I could start my day walking a dog It would be the pretense for a great day. I can spend all day with a dog without getting bored and want to reiterate that I LOVE taking long walks

Before spending time alone with any animal I would ask about age and health issues to determine how long our walks would be and whether or not they can manage hot or very cold days. I may ask about temperament however that can usually be determined at first greet. I would need to know how and when to feed them as well as any dietary restrictions.
A typical day
I love taking long walks … especially with a dog ! I consider them short term buddies. Depending on their needs and personality, we can explore new neighborhoods for hours or play home with their fav. toy. Sometimes I bring dogs along when I have to run around doing errands. All dogs are different so after a day together and reading the profile provided by parents I make an itinerary that suits their needs.

I was not always a dog lover. It took 30 years for me to meet Lucy, my first love. I needed a weekend job and found an ad for walking a 13 year old Pitt and wondered how hard could it be? But I learned that she had a soul and saw pieces of her personality that really made her an individual. Now Lucy was sweet and docile. My next job was not as delicate. In fact it’s safe to say he was the neighborhood terror. But I found a way to connect and with a LOT of exercise we were able to walk during peak hours which was huge. During normal daytime hours I work in healthcare which is a job I have loved doing for 15 years.
