Sam did an incredible job watching our kitty - she genuinely loves animals and goes above and beyond to make sure they are happy and cared for. I had zero concerns while my husband and I were away on our trip, I was able to just relax. She even brought homegrown cat nip to my kitty (after asking of course), and shared pictures and videos while I was away. She’s incredibly responsive, kind, and considerate, and I will 100% be booking her again.

Sam is amazing! She loves dogs and it shows. Our nervous older dog is calm and comfortable when we get home instead of being a nervous mess. She sends us photos. She is responsible and flexible. We can go out of town with peace of mind.

Sam has been absolutely wonderful with our 14.5-year-old dog, Winnie. Leaving a senior dog for a week can be stressful, but Sam immediately put our minds at ease. Winnie had a few indoor accidents while adjusting, and Sam handled them with so much patience and kindness. Rather than getting frustrated, she took the time to help Winnie settle in. One of the sweetest things she did was send Winnie home with a Lamb Chop stuffed toy that smelled like her dogs and her house, hoping it would help Winnie feel more comfortable. It was such a thoughtful gesture. Throughout the week, Sam has sent regular photos and updates, and it’s obvious Winnie has been happy, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. Knowing she’s in such good hands has made it so much easier for us to enjoy our vacation. Beyond this stay, I’ve seen firsthand how lovingly Sam cares for her own pets and how kind she is with my children. She is incredibly trustworthy, compassionate, and attentive. I wouldn’t hesitate to leave Winnie with her again, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will treat their pets like family.

Safety, trust & environment

We live in a house with a fully fenced in yard so you can have peace of mind that your pup will be safe with us. We currently have two dogs and often have dog friends from church staying with us, so they aren’t strangers to sharing their space and are comfortable with it! My cattle dog has daily brain games and challenges to keep him entertained, and I am more than happy to do that with your pup!

Pets

A typical day

With a high energy cattle dog, we are always playing in the backyard and doing brain games. If you’re comfortable with it, we love a good trip to the Dog Park or to Conestee on a walk! One of our favorite things to do is go on a sniff-ari where I let the dogs take the lead and stop and sniff whatever they want for however, long they want! It’s great brain stimulation for them and give them a lot of confidence while walking around. With it being super hot out, I am very careful with outdoor activities, so if we are inside, I really like to play hide and seek games, set up, treat puzzles, and even make frozen pupsicles (usually Greek yogurt, some kibble, and pumpkin — we can easily change this based on your dogs dietary needs)!

I would love to know their care basics such as how often they need to go out, what they’re feeding schedule and preferences are, as well as their energy level and different activities they enjoy doing. I also really want to make sure that they are comfortable whether I’m visiting your house or they’re staying at mine. If they’re staying at mine, I always send you home with a stuffed animal or toy or blanket that smell smells like our house during our meet and greet. This allows your dog to get comfortable with the scent so they don’t feel like they are in a completely unfamiliar face when they come stay with us. I’d also really love to know all of their quirks and fun qualities, whatever fun facts you wanna tell me about them… I’m the type that would love more information than not enough lol I want them to be as comfortable as possible and cared for as if you were the one taking care of them
