In home boarding and Care

Central Vermont Dog Boarding is a fun family friendly boarding situation! Snuggle on the couch, run in our woods, play in our fenced yards and just have a great home away from home. We cater to all dogs and can even handle dogs that can be challenging. Our home is off a dirt road with loads of trails out the front door. Three dog savvy kids are ready (or not) to play with your pups! Our cats hide in our gated upstairs so "no cat dogs" are not deal breakers. We strive for a safe and fun place to keep your dog while you are away. We also work on training with the dogs while they are here! We have a great Facebook page where owners can check in on their dogs and we post loads of photos! Each day is an adventure and we'd love your dog to join us for all the fun!

We had a very upsetting experience boarding our dog here. We specifically explained that our dog is submissive, nervous, and not aggressive, and were assured that dogs would be separated if necessary. The environment was very dirty, with many dogs, chickens, goats, cats all roaming around. We also asked for updates during the four-night stay but didnt hear anything unless we reached out. One photo she sent was AI generated, which I called her out on. I had a pit in my stomach at that time. We were repeatedly told our dog was doing great. When we picked him up, he was bleeding from his leg, had a deep puncture wound on his back, and had green discharge from his eyes. Samantha wasn’t even there to hand him off to us, her husband was, and he said “we should reach out to Samantha with any questions” and he “didn’t notice he was bleeding”. We brought him right to the vet. Our veterinarian diagnosed him with conjunctivitis and found the puncture wound to be deep and infected. He required antibiotics and treatment. We were never notified of any injury or illness during his stay, and we do not know how the injuries occurred. We have reported the incident to Rover and would not feel comfortable boarding our dog here again. I wish we could attach pictures to show how wounded he was. It was a nightmare.

Like a kid at the end of camp, Murphy didn’t want to leave! She clearly loved her time there. Thanks for taking such good care of her!

My three-month-old puppy had a great time there, made many dog friends, and even became a more mature puppy after returning home!

Samantha was wonderful. We were anxious to be leaving our two dogs, one of them a year old, for a week, but she put us completely at ease. Our dogs had a great time socializing with other dogs and running around her beautiful property. They came back tired and happy!

Samantha took our pup on very last minute and made it so easy to coordinate! We were super nervous leaving our 7 month old puppy but those worries immediately disappeared upon drop-off - fantastic folks with great animals. Pretty sure our dog is still daydreaming about being there! Will definitely be booking her a stay with Samantha again.
