I have lived in a dog household since I was five years old. I've had as many as four dogs under one roof, ranging from a Chihuahua-Terrier to an Irish Wolfhound. I have helped raise puppies, cared for senior dogs and administered medication such as pills and eye drops as needed. Throughout the years I have learned that every dog has a distinct personality and different needs based on their personality, likes and dislikes, age, ability, etc. I currently own a Cavalier King Charles who is a very needy soul, needs regular stimulation and suffers from dermatitis. When planning for the day I have to make sure that she can get at least one walk per day, preferably two, a few sessions of playtime and I have to wipe her off after being in the grass or exposed to anything that she might have a reaction to. I would love to come up with a plan to help your fur baby be happy and comfortable when you cannot be with them.
