Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Sam, and I’ve loved animals for as long as I’ve been able to walk and talk. I grew up surrounded by dogs and cats so caring for a wide range of animals has always been a natural part of my life. I’m currently earning my degree in Animal Science at the U of I, with plans to pursue either veterinary school or a career in animal conservation or animal control. I’ve wanted to join Rover ever since I was little and watched my aunt run a mini daycare out of her home. Since then, I’ve pet‑sat for neighbors, family friends, and anyone who needed an extra hand with their pets. This summer, I’m interning at the Vermillion County Animal Shelter to continue building hands‑on experience. I’ve also worked as a Cat Care Volunteer at the Champaign PetSmart, where I helped with daily care, cleaning, and socialization. I’m excited to bring my experience, reliability, and genuine love for animals to every pet I care for!
