Hello! My name is Samantha! I am a former teacher currently working as a remote educator as well as a pet owner to two wonderful cats living in Beverly Beach. You may know me as the girl around the neighborhood who says “hi” to you, and tells your dog that they're "so cute" if I pass you on a walk! I am creating this Rover account because I love spending time with animals and when my partner and I moved here a year ago, I quickly realized that many cat and dog sitters do not include the peninsula in their care radius, which means it can be difficult to find quality pet care on short notice or for long out-of-town trips. During my countless walks around the neighborhood, I've seen just how many beautiful dogs and cats live in our community, and I can’t help but imagine that others have — at one point in time or another — struggled to find reliable pet care. It is my desire to help take care of your four-legged friends when you need someone you can count on. I may be a good fit to help with your dog(s) and/or cat(s) because, in addition to loving animals, I have professional experience working for a pet-care company in Washington, D.C., where I walked dogs and checked in on cats while their owners were away. I also have experience taking care of dogs and cats for longer periods of time for several friends and colleagues who were gone for extended periods of time. Additionally, I am trained in pet CPR and understand that every animal is unique and has unique needs.
