An animal person through-&-through!
I have cumulatively 2 years of veterinary technician assistantships, from both summers in high school and part time work after college. I grew up in a family that ran a wildlife rehabilitation farm, so I’m comfortable with animals of all shapes, sizes, and behaviors. I’ve had dogs all my life, most of them quirky rescues!

Samantha is an awesome cat sitter! She did a great job with my two cats and came by in the morning to give them meds and breakfast and play time. Samatha sent a handful of pics each visit and it was so nice to see my cats having fun while I was away. I highly recommend Samatha as a cat sitter and I will definitely reach out again in the future!
Sam was amazing with our Golden Retriever Hamilton. She was very responsive and picked up our request for some last minute dog walks. Sam took amazing pictures and communicated with us consistently when she was out walking Hamilton. We will certainly be asking Sam to come back and help us again!

Schedule
I am a PhD candidate, so my schedule is largely of my own design. I am able to adjust my hours as needed as long as I’m given enough heads up!

I am confident that I can abide by any schedules, traditions, etc. to which the pet is accustomed. I’m an engineering PhD student, so I’m very detail-oriented and can follow instruction closely. I’m very active, and I love long/frequent walks, no matter the weather. I also love spending time with animals in general, and as I currently don’t have any of my own, I have lots of love and attention to spare!
A typical day
I am very active and willing to go on walks, short and long. I’m happy to play with toys, go to dog parks, and spend time both indoors and outdoors to make sure the pet is happy and fulfilled.
