Pet Carer Looking For New Leash
Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of cats and dogs on and off for a little over ten years. This includes seniors, kittens, some puppies, and even a cat with no eyes. I cannot drive at the moment as I don’t have a UK license but am working on that!

Reviews
We’ve trusted Sam with our dogs for years, first with our Labrador retriever and now with our terrier mix. She has always been reliable, caring, and friendly, and it’s clear how much she genuinely loves animals. Our dogs have always been comfortable and well cared for with her, which gave us real peace of mind whenever we were away. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and compassionate dog sitter.
Transparency: Family Member Testimonial Sam has lived with me for a year and a half now, but my dogs did not grow up with her, and she only entered their lives when she moved in. I've got two dogs who still act like they're puppies (in very different ways) and would fully trust Sam to look after them in any circumstance and for extended periods of time (weeks/months). I've got a 10 year old Border Collie who needs daily supplements at specific meal times, and a 7 year old Husky/Mal mix who gets constant ear infections requiring ear drops and oral medication *and* needs to be fed in a different room from my Border Collie. Sam handles this perfectly, and quickly learned the protocols we had set up for handling our gentle giant turning into a hangry monster at feeding time. I'd trust her to walk both dogs at the same time (she's the only one, other than me, that I'd trust to do this) as both dogs have their own specific quirks. My Husky/Mal likes to chase birds and squirrels, and it can happen without any notice. She's physically capable of handling that initial lunge from a 55kg dog. He also wants to be friends with every single dog he meets, and is vocal about this (which sets off the other dog) and Sam is able to deal with him jumping about and biting on the lead while my Border Collie is barking his head off and lunging. My Border Collie has a specific reactivity to small dogs, and if he's seen a small dog on his walk, it extends to all dogs, so walking him requires really good environment management and situational awareness. This is something I fully trust Sam in, and know that she does well. She's also able to tell when it's a muzzle day without any input from me. As you can imagine, trying to take these two on a day trip or an overnight trip by yourself is ... Well, exhausting. With Sam, we've been able to take them both camping (multiple days) and had many successful day trips to places like Glencoe and Irvine beach. Because Sam is genuinely good with dogs (even difficult, quirky ones) both of mine have had experiences and visited places they simply wouldn't have otherwise. They've had more adventures, more day trips, more fun, and made so many amazing memories.
