Pet care experience
Dogs and cats welcome! 🐈⬛🐕
I grew up with small, medium, and large dogs that all ranged in their exercise and temperament needs. I have experience providing medication for senior dogs/ adult cats. I have fostered different groups of kittens and have some experience with puppy care. As a current cat mom, I spent the pandemic learning all things cats and I have experience with cats that are very timid and very playful.

Samantha is a wonderful dog-sitter! She took great care of our senior pups over a weekend at our home. She updated us regularly on how they were doing by both text and photo. She left the house in good order. The pups are happy to see us but not unduly stressed. I’m glad she was available and would definitely use her again.
Samantha H did a wonderful job for us last week. I needed to accompany my husband as he had a series of medical tests and scans at a hospital in Manhattan. The problem: our five month old beagle puppy Daisy, who had never been left alone before. By all accounts, including via several photos that Samantha sent to us on what became, unfortunately, a long day, Daisy and Samantha got along very easily. Daisy went for several walks, played in the backyard and seemed to have had a great time with Samantha. We enthusiastically recommend Samantha!

Schedule
I have weekends and some availability on weekdays open to meet your pet care needs. I am happy to do short check-ins while you’re away or longer stays for the weekend!

Safety, trust & environment
In your home, I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual routine with their preferred area to be walked or taken for a potty break. I will follow your pet’s needs and your instruction regarding spaces in the home they are permitted to be in and crate usage. In my home, my cats are given access to all areas of my apartment and are inside only cats.
Pets
A typical day
I can accommodate both shorter and longer walks. I also can adjust the walking speed or area for dogs who may need more or less stimulation. With dogs, I’m happy to play fetch or use their favorite toys. With cats, I love to use a wand toy and learn the cat’s favorite type of toy/play.
