Since the day I was born, there has always been dogs in my life that are not just companions, but also part of the family. The absolute admiration I have for animals has only increased the older I get, and the more I understand and learn from them. My first 2 dogs were Chamois and Kahlua (lab/shepard mutts), littermates, and sisters. They were tied to the hip. From a young age, I was attentive, played around in the backyard whenever possible, taught them simple tricks, washed, and fed the girls. Learning a lot from my parents, who had dogs in their lives, too, I have applied patience and love to all animal pals. When I was 19, I adopted a young special-needs sweet-as-pie Pitt mix with a history of abuse and severe anxiety. I named him Archer. Although there were many rough patches over time, he and I learned a lot from each other, and we gave him the best possible loving environment to be in. He and I shared a bond like no other. Throughout the years, there were many dogs (and some kitties) always present, whether they were fostered from other family members or temporarily housed. Currently, we have a cheeky Frenchie at home (Ellie). Dogs and cats have mutually given me therapeutic and educational experiences, as well. I uphold reliability and sensibilty with any animals and will always offer a helping hand wherever needed.
