Hi my name is Samantha (aka Sam/Sammi) and I LOVE animals. I am currently flexible and open to all of your pet needs. While I am new here on Rover, I am not new to pet care and pet sitting. I have pet sat for various friends and people in the community using Nextdoor and Hillsborough Together. I even had a local pet grooming business going in high school. Moreover, I have worked with well-known dog trainers such as, Mike Wombacher and Shay Yuval. Working with these trainers taught me the importance of reading a dog's body language to not only make the dog do what you want obedience-wise, but also so that they can feel safe and understood. In fact, I learned that a dog's body language has a direct correlation to their emotional state. And being aware of your dog's cues will help me ensure that I can prevent them from being stressed or anxious while you are away, foster trust, and identify their needs (hunger, wanting to play, needing to go outside, etc.). I also am proficient teaching dogs the basic training commands including sit, stay, shake, down, come, wait, and heal. Overall, I understand that the most important thing is keeping your fur baby safe and happy.
