I work remotely, and am fully available to care for your dog and/or cat. I can accommodate early risers (starting from 6am) to late bloomers (your pup can sleep in until 10am!). Every weekend, I take Sunny and any visiting pups to the Salisbury Community Dog Park in CT.

I live in a spacious, clean three-story home in Amenia. Your pup or cat is welcome to the couch. I rarely watch TV, so the space is nice and quiet. We have a spacious (unfenced) backyard, so I’m happy to walk dogs out there, but never without a leash. For any first-time cat visitors who might be a bit timid, I have a quiet guest bedroom with a comfy bed — he or she can call it their private room as they acclimate to their new surroundings. 👑😊

Or, for dogs: How do they interact with other pups, how they are on-leash, what kind of treats can they have, and do they have any allergies to be mindful of? We’ll do whatever we can to make your fur-baby safe, happy, and healthy.
A typical day
If you are comfortable with it, and your dog has at least moderate recall, I'd love to take your pup to run wild around Salisbury Dog Park or hiking trails! We’ll get there using my Subaru wagon, which has as a dedicated dog lounge in the back. I also have some puzzles to keep your pet mentally stimulated. 🧩

With years of pet-caring experience and repeat clients, I will love your pets as if they are my own. With my gentle giant, Sunny, we provide a safe, healthy, fun “home away from home” for your dog or cat. Due to his mellow, peaceful nature, Sunny is an especially apt playmate and partner for young puppies, first-time boarders, seniors, and cats. I’m also available to brush out and feed your horses while you’re out of town.

MY NAME IS RUTHIE!! I'm a hound with LOTS of energy. I get anxious when strangers enter my home so even though I barked during our first meeting together, I'm so glad my daddy chose Samantha to take great care of me while he was away. She's one of those hoomans who really understands us canines and we're total BFFs now. She took me out on plenty of walkies, introduced me to her dog Sunny, did some training with me and kept my dad posted with plenty of pawtraits of yours truly! I told him Samantha is welcome back anytime. A++ 🐶
Samantha is amazing!! Our dogs, Cora and Chester had the best time with her and Sunny. Chester can be a little spicy to large dogs but Sunny was so calm and chill, Chester warmed up quickly. Samantha sent so many updates and photos which was so nice to see, lots of walks, dog park and chill time. Cora and Chester really seemed to love her. Highly recommend Samantha!
Charlie had an amazing time with Samantha! She took him on so many long walks along the rail trail and to the dog park. When we came to pick him up, Charlie greeted us a ton and then afterwards was ready to head back inside Samantha's house 😂🥰
Caring and thoughtful - I could not have found a better sitter. Highly recommended.
