What I love most about pets is that they are a part of your family, which is why I treat every dog in my care as one of my pack! They give so much love--even the shy ones--which is why meeting dogs of different breeds and personalities is so exciting. As a dog owner myself, I know how rewarding caring for dogs can be and as a pet sitter on Rover, I can give dog parents the peace of mind they need while they’re out for the day, on vacation, or can’t give their furry friend all their love for a day (or more). There was always a dog around when I was growing up and I’m so lucky to now have a Shih Tzu and Terrier mix named Polo of my own! I’ve also been the go-to pet sitter for friends, family members, and neighbors since fifth grade and have cared for animals professionally for the past year. One of my favorite experiences has been volunteering for the intake team of Paws Chicago Medical Center. In addition to my care for dogs, I’m experienced in the care of cats, guinea pigs, bunnies and rabbits, ferrets, fish, and even plants! People take in a lot of different things (creatures included), so I’d love to provide care for these animals on Rover as well. I’m an attentive, loving, and patient person, especially when caring for dogs. Each pet has its own needs and ways that it likes to play. Having and taking care of dogs requires that you pay attention and take the time to get to know each one, which I always do. I love to walk with pups, even when the weather is colder! Once we get our walking schedule down, I'll also be sure to "throw in" some time for fetch and belly rubs! Whatever your dog needs, I’ll be happy to provide! I can’t wait to get to know you and your pup better.

Samantha was fantastic with entertaining our high energy puppy with walks / play. She provided great updates and made us feel so comfortable leaving our puppy behind!
Samantha was great! Rollo is nervous around strangers, and Samantha made time to come and meet him before the reservation to make sure it was a good fit. She watched Rollo for a week and sent updates every day! Rollo had a great time with her. I highly recommend!
Samantha is a great walker and Zoey enjoyed her time with her while I was away. I appreciated all of the photos and updates. Will definitely book again in the future.
We are always happy to have Samantha take care of our boy Zuko. She always sends timely updates, leaves our place clean and in order, and is so patient with our anxious boy. After this last trip, our front doorman made a point to tell us how polite and kind she was, and that she was doing really well with our dog. It always feels great to get that extra reassurance from someone we know! We would love to book with Samantha again.

Samantha took great care of my elderly dog, including managing lots of meds and instructions. Will definitely use her again!

Schedule
I am available for occasional house sitting, as well as drop-ins and walks during the weekdays and weekends. I ideally prefer clients closer to home.
