What I love most about pets is that they are a part of your family, which is why I treat every dog in my care as one of my pack! They give so much love--even the shy ones--which is why meeting dogs of different breeds and personalities is so exciting. As a dog owner myself, I know how rewarding caring for dogs can be and as a pet sitter on Rover, I can give dog parents the peace of mind they need while they’re out for the day, on vacation, or can’t give their furry friend all their love for a day (or more). There was always a dog around when I was growing up and I’m so lucky to now have a Shih Tzu and Terrier mix named Polo of my own! I’ve also been the go-to pet sitter for friends, family members, and neighbors since fifth grade and have cared for animals professionally for the past year. One of my favorite experiences has been volunteering for the intake team of Paws Chicago Medical Center. In addition to my care for dogs, I’m experienced in the care of cats, guinea pigs, bunnies and rabbits, ferrets, fish, and even plants! People take in a lot of different things (creatures included), so I’d love to provide care for these animals on Rover as well. I’m an attentive, loving, and patient person, especially when caring for dogs. Each pet has its own needs and ways that it likes to play. Having and taking care of dogs requires that you pay attention and take the time to get to know each one, which I always do. I love to walk with pups, even when the weather is colder! Once we get our walking schedule down, I'll also be sure to "throw in" some time for fetch and belly rubs! Whatever your dog needs, I’ll be happy to provide!
