For dog walks, I have handled and walked dogs that weigh more than I do. I'm very active and while calm in nature, I can give verbal commands to make sure your dog doesn't do or eat anything they are not supposed to! I am flexible and can follow any route and/or special requests you have. And I always pick up the poop, of course. I've invested in a high quality dog walking belt with pull absorbing leashes that keeps your pups attached to me and makes it much easier and safer to walk multiple at a time. There is no possibility of them getting away on my watch! For drop-ins, I am extremely respectful of others' privacy and space. I am flexible and can meet your requirements of a perfect home visit for your furbabies while you are away. I will take plenty of photos and videos for you at each visit (20+) and I am known for providing at least few high quality framable professional photos. I can feed, water, let out, play with, scoop litter, and any other animal care that you need! I can even water your plant babies and bring in your mail too.

I like to know any important habits, preferences, and/or fears your pet might have. I want to make sure they're as comfortable as possible! I am always cautious and will ask you right away if I have a question. If your pet is high needs and requires constant care or extra love, please reach out with their needs and I can prepare an individual and fair quote for you if the needs surpass the standard drop-in or house sit. I want to make sure I have enough time scheduled to not rush through your pet's care!
A typical day
We will go on plenty of walks around the neighborhood and to the nearby nature parks to explore if desired. We will play with your pet's favorite toys until they're ready for cuddles and a nap. I will make sure their food instructions are followed to every detail and they always have fresh water. I will ensure the home is kept completely safe and nothing sketchy ends up within reach of your babies. I keep a close eye on every door I open to keep escape artists safe inside. I don't ever let pets outside unsupervised (unless otherwise specified by you, I know some pets prefer to live outside).

One of the dogs was still a puppy who I trained myself, so I am quite comfortable and patient when it comes to all of the fun (and not so fun) side effects of puppies still learning. The other dog was incredibly reactive and I've been able to teach her to trust again and continue to work with her everyday. Trauma never goes away, so I fully understand that traumatized and reactive dogs will always require a special, attentive level of care. I have absolutely no fear of animals and will immediately put myself in the middle of a fight or potentially dangerous situation to save your pet. I'm not going to quit because your pet growled (although I will respect their space of course). Safety is my #1 priority. No one gets out of the front door (my cat is an escape artist so this is normal to me). I use a high quality professional dog utility belt with reinforced bungee leashes that attach to the belt to guarantee your dog can never escape while on a walk with me. I've learned so much patience, vigilance, and the ability to read dog body language very well. My energy is calm but confident, and pets tend to trust me quickly. I am open to caring for high needs babies that other sitters aren't equipped to handle. I know how stressful it is worrying about your babies when you're trying to enjoy a trip, so my goal is to make you and your pets 100% comfortable and confident with me. Now I have all of the flexibility and help with my own pets to be able to care for yours!

Sam is absolutely amazing! Our dog has some reactivity and can be very nervous with new people. Sam was very calm with her and provided amazing care. We were thrilled to see how comfortable our dog got and how happy she seemed while we were away. We also loved all the photos and videos Sam shared. We would highly recommend her to anyone, and especially to people who have dogs with some challenging behaviors!
