Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine because I’m available most days and have a flexible schedule. I’m able to plan my days around feeding times, walks, play sessions, and check-ins to make sure each pet gets consistent attention and care.

When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect both the pet’s routine and the home itself. I aim to keep everything as familiar as possible for the pet, maintaining feeding times, walks, litter box or yard care, medications if needed, and daily interaction. I also provide updates and photos so owners feel confident and connected while they’re away. ***Rover takes a percentage of each visit, so please understand this when viewing the fees. Fees are also negotiable or may flex depending on the circumstance or distance" *****I require a meet and greet with dogs before doing a drop in visit or walk.
Information samantha d. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for your pet, I like to know as much as possible about their routine and personality. Things like feeding schedule, allergies, medications, fears (thunder, fireworks, other dogs), and how they typically do on walks are really helpful. *** If walking a dog, they must be well mannered and not aggressive towards other dogs. I also like to know their energy level, any training commands they know, and if there are behaviors you’re currently working on so I can stay consistent. For puppies, knowing their potty schedule is important, and for senior pets, any mobility or health concerns. The more I understand about your pet ahead of time, the smoother and more comfortable their stay will be. My goal is to make them feel safe and keep their routine as normal as possible.
A typical day
A typical day with me really depends on the pet, but I always try to keep things consistent with what they’re used to at home. We’d start the morning with a potty break and breakfast, then either a walk or some playtime to burn off energy. If they enjoy games, we’ll play fetch or do a little basic training practice. If they’re more laid back, we’ll keep it calm and easy. During the day, I make sure they get regular potty breaks, attention, and interaction — not just being let out and left alone. There’s always time for belly rubs, brushing, or just hanging out together. I’m mindful of not overstimulating them and making sure they feel relaxed and comfortable. In the evening, we’ll do another walk or play session, dinner, and then wind down for the night. I treat pets the way I treat my own — with structure, attention, and lots of care.

Pet care experience
I’ve had many years of experience with pets, but I am just now signing up with Rover. I’ve raised and trained five puppies into well-mannered adult dogs, so I understand every stage — from potty training and leash manners to basic obedience and socialization. I’m comfortable reinforcing routines, consistency, and positive training while you’re away. I’ve also cared for multiple families with both dogs and cats, including multi-pet households. Managing different personalities, energy levels, and feeding schedules is something I’m very comfortable with. What sets me apart is that I don’t just “watch” pets — I pay attention to their behavior, stress levels, and needs. Whether it’s an energetic puppy who needs structure and play or a calmer pet who prefers routine and quiet companionship, I adapt to each animal to make them feel safe and cared for.

Reviews

Samantha and her son took wonderful care of my dogs while I was out of town. From the very beginning, I felt completely at ease knowing they were in good hands. They gave my dogs plenty of cuddles and belly rubs, which made all the difference, my pups were clearly happy and well cared for. Samantha was also excellent with communication, responding quickly to my questions and staying consistent with her home visits. I truly appreciate the care, reliability, and kindness she showed. I will absolutely be rebooking with her, she’s earned my trust and loyalty for the amazing care she gave my dog children

We love Samantha and so do our pups!!! Would highly recommend to anyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Samantha has been pet sitting our 2 dogs for us for quite some time now and our dogs really love her. She’s very mindful of all instructions, including meds, and reaches out if there are any concerns or has questions. When we get home our dogs look well taken care of-it’s as if we never left! It’s been such a blessing to leave on trips with ease and comfort knowing our dogs are going to be well taken care of. She’s just a wonderful human who cares a lot about people and animals, and she does things with heart! If you are looking for a pet sitter who you can rely on for great care for your fur babies, Samantha’s your pet sitter! 🐶🐶
Samantha has been an incredible blessing to our family! She’s prompt, responsive, very communicative and our two pups just adore her ❤️ Whether we’re headed out of town or for one night or five, she’s always our first call - we appreciate her so much!
