I like animals more than people and I’ve never met an animal I couldn’t make friends with! While I am new to Rover, caring for animals is not new to me. As a kid I helped my dad raise three litters of puppies, which taught me early on about responsibility, patience, and proper animal care. Over the years, I’ve always had anywhere from one to four dogs and one to two cats at a time. In addition to dogs and cats, I currently have or have had bunnies, turtles, fish, goats, pigs, chickens, ducks, and cows. I also have experience caring for and riding horses. I’ve helped with the birth of puppies, goats, and piglets. While I’m not a veterinarian nor do I have formal veterinary training - having owned and cared for a plethora of animal species, I have learned a lot about animals and gained a lot of hands-on experience. I’m comfortable caring for sick animals, administering basic medical care, and monitoring health concerns. Animals have always gravitated toward me — especially the shy, anxious, or less trusting. I’m patient, calm, and genuinely enjoy earning their trust. While your pets are my responsibility, they will be spoiled, loved, safe, and well cared for.
