Since I'm retired, my days have a lot of natural flexibility built in. I can offer morning, midday, and evening visits throughout the week, not just squeezed-in slots around a nine-to-five. Pet care isn't something I fit around my life. It's become one of the things I structure my life around, alongside my own dog, Mojo.

All of my care happens in your home, not mine. I come to you for dog walks and feeding visits, so your pet stays in their own familiar space with their own food, bed, and routine. For dogs, that means a walk at their pace around your neighborhood. For cats and smaller pets, it means fresh food and water, litter box or habitat cleaning, and some quiet one-on-one attention. At this time, I don't board pets in my own home. Keeping care in your space is part of what keeps things low-stress for your pet and simple for you.

I have administered oral medications to dogs in my care. Please let me know of any medical needs your pets may have and we can discuss the best methods to address them.
A typical day
I walk and clean up after your pets and ensure they are happy and comfortable with fresh food and water according to your specifications. I will come to your home 2-3 times per day to tend to your animals and take in the mail, water plants etc. I play a lot of frisbee and fetch with the dogs in my care. The bunnies I watch enjoy playing with stacked cups during their out of cage play time. My own dog requires a lot of mental stimulation. We have an array of puzzle toys to keep him busy on days where a long walk and outdoor exercise is not possible.

Pet care experience
Pets have always been part of my life. I've had dogs, cats, goldfish, betta fish, hamsters, bunnies, and chinchillas. Currently in my care are the adorable bunny brother-and-sister duo I call the Wonder Twins, a senior Staffie mix who doesn’t like going down the shore so we’re weekend buddies, and Sassafrass, the “fraidy" cat. Each of these animals has its own rhythm and needs, and I've learned to pay close attention to what makes each one comfortable, whether that's a quiet room, a clean habitat, or a gentle, familiar routine.

Samantha is a great petsitter. She is dependable and friendly and our go-to. Our cat, who doesn't much like strangers, thinks she is acceptable, which is a big deal! She has experience living with both cats and dogs. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone who needs their animal taken care of.
I can’t recommend Samantha highly enough! She has cared for both my dogs for about 12 years and although complete opposites in regard to size, breed and temperament, Sam has shown the same degree of kindness and compassion for each. She provided in-home care and exercise for my elderly Bedlington Terrier during weeks long family vacations. She now walks my young (and very energetic) Afghan Hound while I recover from back issues. Knowing my dog(s) are with Samantha provides me with peace of mind. She is a dependable caregiver and treats each animal as if they were her own. I trust her in my home and feel incredibly grateful to have connected with her.
