Pablo had a great stay for the two days we were away. We appreciated the photos and updates throughout his visit, and it was clear he was well cared for and loved by the whole family, including Cooper and Mac. It made it much easier to enjoy our vacation knowing he was in such good hands. We would definitely ask Samantha and family to take care of Pablo again. Thank you!

Sam was great from beginning to the end. Went above and beyond. She handled my two large dogs with ease. Definitely will be using her in the future.

I'm so happy I found Samantha to help out with my kitty, Charlie, who requires two insulin shots a day for her diabetes. It was my first time going out of state since my cat's diagnosis, but Samantha's thorough communication at every visit helped assure me that my cat was in good hands. She followed the instructions for our cat perfectly which I also really appreciate. We look forward to using her again in the future.

Samantha went above and beyond for our boys! We were visiting family in TN for the holidays. One of our boys came down with sudden and severe Lyme symptoms while we were gone. Samantha spent many hours with him in urgent care on New Year’s Eve. She even bought the workers there pizza! She was great at caring for him and giving him meds after. Her fenced-in yard and house arrangement are perfect for our boys. She sent daily pictures and videos of our pups playing with her dog Mac and snuggling with her family. We will definitely be using her again. In fact, if she’s not available, we might reschedule our vacation to a time she is!

Schedule

I'm a full time pet care professional, mom for my 10 year old, pet parent to our senior cat, Zeus, and our almost 2 year old puppy, Mac. I have a Canine and Feline CPR and First Aid certification and am a certified Fear Free Pet Sitter. For drop-in visits and walks, I have varying availability throughout the day. My schedule revolves around my son's school schedule, my regular "extra pets" and the needs of any pups that are boarding with me. I will be so happy to get to know your loved one and treat them with as much love and care as I have for my own pet family. For dog boarding, your pet will be treated as a cherished family member. I signed up for rover because I was missing my best friend, Olive, who lived to the ripe old age of 15 and have been so happy to meet and get to know so many new furry friends! Your pet will be the center of attention while in my home or at yours. Any specific rules you have will be followed with care and whether we play, go on walks, or just hang, I'll be happy to spend that time with them.

Safety, trust & environment

My home: I have a fenced in area just for the pups. My dog, Mac loves to play fetch and is always happy to have a guest join us. I live on 6 mostly wooded acres and enjoy exploring them with my extra pups. I also take walks on my beautiful dead end road abutting DEM property. If it's something that you want and your dog/s will enjoy, they can come with me for school drop off/pick up just 2 minutes away from our home. I do have a cat, but he is dog savvy and hangs in the basement until he knows our guests. I make sure he has his space and am confident that I can meet all needs. Your pets will be treated as cherished members of the family! While I do allow my own pets on couches and beds, if that is something you do not allow in your home, I am happy to follow that rule and my sweet pup, Mac, won't mind following it either. Any specific training exercises you'd like me to incorporate will be followed. I only host for one pet family at a time in my home unless there is a special request and successful meet and greet with all pups present. This means that if you schedule an overnight at my home, the only other pets there will be my cat and dog - unless you have specifically requested otherwise. If you and a family member or friend would like to go on the same vacation and your pups are already familiar and friendly with eachother, I'd be happy to consider hosting them both pending a successful meet and greet with my pup. In your home: your house, your rules. I am happy to follow the routine that you specify and will be asking the appropriate questions in order to make your furry friend's experience as close to their normal as humanly possible. While you're away, I'm happy to bring in your mail, occasional deliveries (35 lbs or less please), or put out/bring in your trash cans. I'm also happy to care for your plants too, but this may require an additional fee depending on the required needs.

Pets

A typical day

On a typical day, I will enjoy getting to know your furry friend and finding out what they love to do. It all depends on the pet, their personality, and their needs. For a dog, if that's tossing a ball, doing some training exercises that you specify, cuddling, going for walks, or just being present, I'm in! For cats, it may be playing with some toys, giving scratches, some cuddles, or just being present. I'm sure I can find out what they love to do most and meet their needs.
