I have loved and cared for many beloved pets for my entire life including dogs, cats and other species of pets such as bunnies and bearded dragons! My love for caring for animals grew into my professional life where I worked as a veterinary technician in general practice, followed by working as a veterinary surgical technician in a specialty hospital. I have ample experience in caring for pets such as animal handling, walking, feeding, medication administration, nail trims/dremmels, ear cleanings, etc.! I am also trained in signs of distress, body language, abnormal health signs as well as dog and cat CPR. I also have experience working with puppies, kittens, senior dogs/cats, anxious pets, deaf/blind pets, and pets with disabilities. I currently have two cats and a golden retriever puppy that I absolutely adore! My golden is currently in training to become a therapy dog while I pursue my Masters in Social Work along with a Veterinary Social Work certificate, with my end goal being to provide counseling in conjunction with pet therapy.
