I've had dogs my whole life. As an adult, I started giving homes to dogs with special needs. The first dog I had as an adult had a balance disorder (she walked with her head tilted to the side - it was so cute!) I spent a lot of time working with her on how to navigate her home, especially the stairs. The second dog I had as an adult was geriatric and eventually ended up getting diagnosed with cancer. I have experience with giving medicine orally and just generally taking things slow for dogs that need a bit more time. On the other end of the spectrum, I'm also an active individual. I enjoy being outside with my pets and going on long walks.

My number one rule is "Love and compassion first." I never punish my pets. Instead, I try to understand the root cause of the undesired behavior - maybe they're sick, bored, or simply acting on a natural impulse. I try to set my pets up for success by creating an environment where they will thrive, be loved, stay safe, and live their life to the fullest. In terms of caring for pets in other people’s homes, I’m all about following established routines.

Samantha did pet setting for us at our house for the weekend on just a few days notice and I will definitely be keeping her in my back pocket for next time! After meeting her in person, I honestly had zero ounces of worry on my mind the entire time we were gone. She is just a very personable girl with a warm personality, and her love for animals immediately evident the moment she entered my home. Not surprisingly, everyone seemed just like themselves when we returned; even the dogs that normally act as tho we’ve been gone for months when we go grocery shopping. She spoiled them and they were probably disappointed when we returned instead of her! Lol thank you very, very much and I’m so glad I found ya!
Samantha is the absolute best! She takes wonderful care of our babies when we are gone, and they love her so much! I’d give her 10 stars if it was an option.

Schedule
NOTE: One of my cats was recently diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease, and he requires special meals/care. I will need to go to my house 1-2 times per day during bookings that span over multiple days. I work around your pet’s schedule to determine when I stop at home, and can be back at your place for any overnight bookings. JUNE AND JULY AVAILABILITY: I work in a school, so during summer break I'm home almost all day every day. But seriously, pretty much any time in June or July, I can make it work. AUGUST THROUGH NOVEMBER AVAILABILITY: From early August until late November, I coach the girls high school swim team. My availability is very limited during those months, as I have practice in the evening and swim meets on the weekend. DECEMBER THROUGH MAY AVAILABILITY: I work full time, but can be available at night and on the weekends.
