I've been with Rover since January of 2024, and I've had a lot of experience with pets throughout my life. Growing up, my family almost always had cats and/or dogs as pets, and I learned how to take care of them. I trained my family's dog to be a certified therapy dog and took him regularly to volunteer with children at a homeless shelter. I now have a cat of my own! I'm also a foster pet caretaker for Dallas Animal Services and have had other prior pet-sitting experience, including taking care of a dog with medical needs (regular insulin shots). I love animals and very much enjoy spending time with them!

Safety, trust & environment
As a petsitter or dog-walker, I will make sure to communicate with you to understand how I can best take care of your pet(s). If I'm walking your dog(s), I'll be careful to avoid allowing them to get overheated (especially in these Texas summers!), keep them hydrated, clean up their waste, and make sure I understand what the appropriate length and intensity of walk is for a given dog. If I'm doing a drop-in visit or house-sitting for any dog(s) or cat(s) in your home, I'll make sure that their needs are cared for (such as food, water, and potty needs), spend time with them (playing and showing affection), and provide any special care that they need (like giving medications). If you book me for an hour-long drop-in visit or house-sitting, I'm happy to do a dog walk(s) in addition to regular duties. If I'm doing an overnight visit, I'll stay the whole time unless we discuss my leaving for a short time. For any service, I can provide pictures of your pet(s) and give updates on how they're doing!

As always, I came home to happy animals! The biggest difference is in how calm they are when we leave and come back now. It’s like they know Samantha will be there - and that is at least as good as us being home!
Just the best! Cats, dogs, fish, whatever. You can leave your kiddos in good hands and know they won’t miss you while you’re gone!
Samantha is an excellent communicator, extremely considerate and our pets don’t seem to be that happy we are home! We are really thankful to have found someone who cares for our guys like family.
Samantha took such great care of Koushka! She has integrity and true affection for pets. She was a great communicator and asked pertinent questions when we first met. We would not hesitate to use Samantha again!

I am SO pleased with the care Samantha provided for our fur babies! I have used Rober before and did not have a great experience. Samantha was very communicative and followed my 3 pages of notes 🤦♀️I left for her to a T! She also checked in, sent me photos, provided me updates, etc, We have never boarded our dogs, and I rarely leave them with anyone! I was not concerned at all and am VERY pleased! We will definitely be requesting her again! A++ sitter! She was absolutely fantastic and she stayed at our home, kept it tidy, and provided the best care for them. (And they aren’t easy either!) we have 3 high energy dogs ranging from 45-95lbs!) thank you Samantha for the great care you provided!

I'm a behavior technician who works during the day, but I am available to be with your pet in the morning and afternoon/evening as well as overnight.
