Pet care has been my fulltime job since 2023 and I haven't looked back! I work roughly 6-7 days a week walking dogs and dropping in for pet parents while they are away. My day usually starts around 10:30am to accommodate my overnight pets routines. I accept walks and drop ins till roughly 9pm. Non emergency messages that are sent after 8pm are answered the following day.

The overnight pets in my care are my first priority always. Asides from my regulars and any meet ups I may have, my time is spent in their home keeping them company. I do not walk new dogs off leash for safety concerns, but am more than happy to accommodate any and all activity levels. I always come equipped with a variety of leashes and safety gear for any and all personalities. I recently finished and am certified in Canine First Aid and CPR. I also have many senior clients that require oral medication and physical assistance. I plan to enroll in Feline first aid, along with many other certifications in the future. I work with a diverse group of dogs including highly reactive ones. I understand the stress of trying to find a safe and understanding presence for reactive/fearful pets. I am open and flexible to whatever routine/process makes the family most comfortable. I've helped many pups come out of their shell, and will take whatever time is needed to make sure they feel safe and understood. I have auto locking leashes that attach to my hip for added safety, along with an assortment of safety attachments for escape artists/flight risks!

A typical day
I have a fully equipped SUV ready for any fun adventures to the beach or hikes around town! I always come ready with new toys, treats and lots of love to win the pups and kitties over. I love learning the dogs interests and turning it into a stimulating activity for them. Anything from scent games to hide and go seek, I bring it all!

** MULTIPLE PETS ARE AN ADDITIONAL EXPENSE AND WILL NOT BE CARED FOR FREE OF CHARGE!!** Hey pet parent! My name is Sam and I'm the owner/main face behind Ritzy Paws pet care! I started doing full time pet care in early 2023 and haven't looked back! I have slowly been teaching my wonderful mom, Tammy, all things administration while I slowly build my website. That being said, I am the only one that handles the pet needs. I am trained in Canine CPR and First Aid. I have attended training seminars, and have a huge passion for pet behaviour and psychology. Any new dog walks are required to be on leash with an appropriately fitting collar or harness to ensure both parties safety. I always have pepper spray and a pull alarm for any emergencies that may arise. I do not allow dogs to approach others while on walks and prefer to avoid leash free areas unless they are empty and secure. I always come supplied with high quality, minimal ingredient treats (beef, pork, duck, chicken, exotic). I am comfortable with administering oral and topical medications if needed! I have done so for both cat and dog clients in the past. I am also willing to learn injections if the pet parent is comfortable.

Sam helped us out with daily dogs walks this week at short notice and as always did a fantastic job. Sam takes our dog somewhere different each day and makes the most of local parks and trails. Happy dog!
Sam is always patient with our hound rescue. She loves Sam walks.
She was so good with our cats, and we felt they were in the safest of hands there entire time we were away. I would highly recommend Sam with your furbabies, we will definitely be using her again in the future!
