Availability
My schedule is flexible and frequently adaptable as I am also a working artist. This, for me, means I sell my art at markets/craft fairs (primarily on the weekends) and also teach classes at a local studio. Both of these cause my schedule to vary, but in a way in which I am often am available and open when the 9-5 work force is not!

About Sam P.
Communication
Dog skills
Safety, trust & environment
I take pet care very seriously; I know the connections between pet and owner can be as close to a family relationship as possible, so keeping them safe is paramount. Communication is key for me, between me and my clients, between me and the other humans/pets we may encounter while caring for animals (asking others to leash their dogs, stating a dog's reactive nature and asking for space, etc).
Information Sam P. would like to know about your pet
Things that are crucial are dietary specifications, past injuries and or also sensitive areas on body, behavior around other animals, including reactivity around fellow dogs.
A typical day
I like to keep it fresh for the dog and switch between residential walking and park walking. It gives them lots of different smells, stimulation and varying degrees of terrain, so it’s not just the same flat walk every time.

Pro dog walker (and cat carer!)
Pet care experience
I have experience in all ages of canine care (my parents bred dogs when I was a child) and have professional dog walking experience, up to three dogs at once, in all kinds of Oregon weather. While I don't have a dog of my own (yet!), my friends' dogs are very important to me and I am the go-to dog sitter in most of my friend groups. I am comfortable and have experience with handling reactive dogs as well. I do also have feline care experience and love cats and kittens!
Reviews

Sam did a great job looking after my elderly cat who needs meds twice a day. My cat is very shy and by the end of the week had really warmed up to Sam! I appreciated all of the detailed updates Sam provided and would definitely book again!
Sam was great with our elderly cat. Super attentive!

Sam was a fantastic cat sitter! Our high-energy little guy can be a handful, but Sam was extra communicative and let us know when his behavior was a little off. It turned out to be no big deal, but I appreciated her keeping us posted on how things were going. Also, very kind and great with our Frank. We'll be booking with Sam again!

Sam made two trips to hang out with Bella and Dottie - she was prompt, communicative and great as always!
