I usually work from 4pm-Midnight, so I am often available before 4pm any day. Otherwise, I am off of work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I do pick up my niece and nephew from school on Tuesday and Friday from 3:30-4pm as well. Otherwise, I am available on those days for pet care. I do have my own cat at home that I will need to check in on as well, but can easily schedule out pet care as needed.

COVID-19 Safety: I am fully vaccinated as of May 20, 2021. If I am experiencing any symptoms of COVID or have come in contact, I will give you notice and cancel the reservation. If YOU are experiencing any symptoms or have come in contact, please let me know as soon as possible and we can plan accordingly. In my home, there are 4 children and we work very hard to keep the home safe for a toddler and a kitty. I have traveled across the country by car with my kitty, using a lot of different safety techniques to ensure she was safe and not too stressed. This included research, using a harness and leash, a comfortable carrier, pheromone spray, and travel litter to make sure all her need were met. This is the level of care and precaution you can expect from me in caring for all of your furbabies. It is very important to me to take any steps necessary to make them feel safe and comfortable.

I am more familiar with cats and small/medium sized dogs, but I love them all. I would like to know if your dog has any allergies, how their personality is, and how independent/dependent they tend to be. Please let me know if they have a specific routine that they are used to, and/or if they have any particular needs that are unique to them. Please book at least 48 hours in advance, so I may plan accordingly.
A typical day
I have many nature trails close to my house, and love a good walk. Coal Creek trail, Downtown Redmond Park, Crossroads Park, & Lake Sammamish park are some of my favorite places for walks. I love to play fetch & tug-of-war, or play with lasers. I also love to snuggle & relax with them!

Pet care experience
I have taken care of pets since I was about 7! I grew up with a sweet beagle and 2 cats. In college, I lived with four different dogs and assisted in raising them since they were pups. I have experience with house boarding for a friend of mine for a week, including walks, feeding, day trips, etc. (But I can no longer provide this particular service due to other pets in my home.) I have also done in-home stays multiple times for my neighbors and other pet owners while they traveled. I have been living with and taking care of my cat for the last 6 years. I love snuggling, going on adventures, playing with toys, and learning new tricks! It's always fun getting to meet a new fuzzy friend. I have never met a dog who did not love me and who I did not love right back. :)

Sam is a great caregiver to our cats when we're away. Really takes the stress out of leaving the babies behind thanks to her meticulous updates and communication. And we always love to see the photos she sends. She's really good about handling our cats' individual quirks and giving them the tailored attention - and playtime - they need to keep them happy and healthy.
Sam really took some of the stress out of our holiday travels this year with her excellent care of our 3 quirky and needy cats. She checks in regularly with photos of our fur babies and a run down of their daily care with particular attention to our cats’ appetites and behavior which helps me know that things are going well with our medium to high maintenance monsters. She always leaves our place super clean and is great about communicating in general - questions or updates on the cats and our house and her schedule, too. It’s really reassuring for a type A cat mom like me to have her caring for them while we’re gone!
Sam was great - she took good care of our kittehs and took meticulous stock of all my many instructions and information I threw at her for the cat care and the house. She was super communicative which is very important to me and I got regular updates on the kitties, feedings, behavior, playtime, etc. and feel that my babies were in very good hands while we were gone which was extra important given this was our first vacay in two years and the cats have become so used to having their people around. Definitely hope to have her sit for them again in the future.
Sam truly went above and beyond to make sure our cat was happy and healthy, with lots of playtime and a clean feeding area. Sam was very communicative before and during the booking, sending detailed updates and lots of pics. We could tell our cat was very happy with nothing to worry about while we were away. Would book again!
