I have spent a decade taking care of dogs, helping raise dogs and providing not only a pet - human relationship but an inseparable bond. Many clients of mine have hired me to train their dogs since 2015. My "bible" when raising and taking care of a dog is The Art of Raising A Puppy. I practice non violence and calm tones while caring for all dogs while positively re-enforcing good behavior. Understanding your dogs needs is first and foremost what I will pay attention to. I spend most of my time outside and on trails with my Husky who is friendly, gentle and gets with all dogs. Your dog will have a fun, playful and outgoing stay with me. We will take long walks, go to the dog park, go for a run along the river or in Forest Park. The trails to Marquam and Council Crest are two blocks from my home and take my dog (and other dogs) there frequently. I cater to all needs of all dogs and am very responsive if you have any questions or concerns during your pup's stay. I have a yard and back deck with plenty of space and opportunity to play.

Sam was fantastic with Layla! Fast, clear communication and he was available during the holiday weekend even on relatively short notice. He seemed to have given Layla plenty of attention, play, and exercise -- when I picked her up she was happy as could be. I hate having to leave her home whenever I need to go away, but since I will inevitably have to again, Sam will be my first choice for Layla's lodging in the future. Thank you!
Sam was great with my pups and I felt very comfortable with him watching my girls for a whole week. He has a great backyard for the pups to play in. He was great with keeping them active and took them on several hikes throughout the week. Came home to two very happy pups!

I currently work remotely and have plenty of time to look after your pup, as well as take them on adventures on the local trails if the dog is up for it!

I care for all dogs equally and will cater to specific needs whether they are a puppy, or even elderly dogs. The environment is clean, safe, and has ample opportunities to run throughout the day.
